To be seen here is a sculpture of the former Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius or Marc Aurel and he was considered one of the best-known rulers of ancient Rome and it is believed that he lived between 121 and 180 and was born in Rome. He already came from a family of politicians and his father unfortunately died early and he grew up with his mother and grandparents and he came to power as successor to Anthony Pinius together with Lucius Verus in the year 161 and it was a novelty that two emperors ruled at the same time and before the two were allowed to rule, they were first adopted. Aurelius was considered a very thoughtful personality who had asked himself many questions about the world and he also went down in history as a philosopher and he was already inspired in his early years in this regard and wrote some works in which he recorded his way of thinking. Shortly after the beginning of his rule, there were some unrests and the Roman Empire lost more and more power as different legions were attacked in different places and a years-long war followed, which should end positively for the Romans, but it also came to the fact that a pandemic broke out and numerous other problems resulted. Among other things, it also came to the fact that there were uprisings of believers and there were some environmental disasters and it should not last long until further wars broke out and in the year 177 he decided to appoint his son Commodus as co-ruler and together the two fought in the Marcomannic wars. Marcus Aurelius died about three years later and it can definitely be said that he had a difficult time during his reign which was characterised by countless problems and even a few years later the Roman Empire was influenced by further problems which did not make the leadership for his son easier.
