The Painter Paul Klee
Hey everyone! As always, I hope that you are all doing well and that you had a day which has brought many interesting experiences into your life! In my new post I would like to go into more detail about the life of an artist and hope you can learn new things.
The creator of these works is also known as Paul Klee (1879 - 1940) who is also considered as one of the best-known artists of his time and has greatly enriched the art scene with his thousands of works of art. He was born in Switzerland in the canton of Bern in the municipality of Münchenbuchsee and his parents were both artists and while his mother was a singer, the father had started a career as a music teacher and it should not take long that Klee had also found his passion for art and he decided to become a painter and he decided to move to Germany to attend an art academy in Munich. Before his time in Bavaria, he lived mainly in Bern and his parents taught him music and he was known for playing the violin and at the same time, he decided to invest his free time in painting and he started with simple drawings and developed more and more his very own style. In Munich he sought contact with other artists and began to visit other countries as part of his studies and in 1914, he traveled to Tunisia in Africa and learned some things about the culture which also should inspire his art and the various influences, he incorporated into his works and later he also visited numerous other countries. A few years later his career picked up more and more speed and he sold his first works and his popularity increased and he is also generally described as very experimental and was later even appointed as an art teacher where he got a job in Weimar. He was strongly persecuted in times of war and his works were sometimes even confiscated and they tried to keep him from his way through psychological stress and attacks and this went even so far until he was expelled from Germany and fled to Switzerland. His works themselves can be attributed to different art epochs and he had a special preference for expressing colors particularly well and was known for having numerous influential artists as friends and so he was also in close contact with the group of the blue rider and in 1940 he died in the Swiss community of Locarno.
Many thanks for stopping by and I hope you could learn something new about art history! I captured these pictures with my Camera Sony Alpha 6000 plus 55-210 mm lens.
