The Painter Hans Wertinger
Good day dear community, as always I would like to welcome you to my new contribution and hope you have a week so far which has brought many interesting experiences into your life! Today I would like to write something about the life of an artist and hope you are able to expand your knowledge.
This detailed painting was created by the German painter Hans Wertinger (1465 - 1533) and present the Duchess Maria Jacobaea of Baden (1507 - 1580) who later became the Duchess of Bavaria through marriage and the artwork was made with oil on wood. He can also be regarded as a diverse artist who can be counted to the epoch of the late Gothic as well as the Reneisance and there were various influences that had shaped his style and he was a master in choosing the right mixture of colors and also the love for detail is not to be ignored as one can also see in this work. Wertinger has combined various elements with each other in his works and created very lively works and in some works he attached particularly high importance to the representation of clothing from this time and his works definitely have a high recognition value and the works definitely have an interesting effect on the viewer. He was a huge friend of landscape painting and combined this passion with his portraits and in addition, he also devoted himself to glass painting and his work was also very appreciated by the nobility and he received numerous orders and unfortunately much is unknown about his life and some of his works have even been destroyed, but it is suspected that he was born in the city of Landshut where he also attended a workshop to learn art. For a large part of his life he worked as a freelance artist and was also appointed to the Bavarian court where he worked for some time for the Duke of Bavaria, Louis X and already during his lifetime, he enjoyed a high reputation and got numerous orders and also made a name for himself in other regions within Germany.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you could learn something new about art history! I captured these pictures with my Camera Sony Alpha 6000 plus 55-210 mm lens.
