Self-regulation also refers within psychology to the ability to influence the own thoughts, feelings or certain behaviors and in psychology, it is particularly interesting which processes take place in the brain and in most cases a disorder must first be present before applying self-regulation in this context. Already in ancient cultures, it was known that people could perform true miracles with the help of the own psychic powers and also within alchemy it was about developing oneself from a spiritual point of view in order to be able to regulate the body and a good example is the golden elixir from Chinese alchemy which should give immortality or to rejuvenate the body and according to philosophy, it is not an drink but an ability that could be learned by self-regulation. When people are in certain situations and are emotionally weak, it often happens that certain feelings are even reinforced and with self-regulation it is possible to find the right balance and to calm down certain moments again and it is not always easy to stay calm during certain scenarios and this ability is also an important indicator of understanding how the psychological and physical levels are related and are interdependent in harmony. There are different techniques and exercises with which people can learn to regulate the body and so, for example, it is possible to lower blood pressure during panic attacks and if you have understood certain physical reactions, it is more easy to develop this ability and an important factor is often breathing and with the right frequency of breathing it is possible to cool down quickly and with the right thoughts or beliefs people can specifically intervene in this process. Self-regulation is, so to speak, the basis of the human body when it comes to healing and can also be related to other areas when it comes to achieving certain goals and when someone have set a goal in mind, the subconscious is also adapted and the behavior will change and this classic example can be related to other forms of self-regulation. If people start to deal with it more closely, they will notice that it is more than a simple concept but an important key to the own self which is also extremely interesting from a psychological point of view.
