Psychology of Ignorance
Hey dear community, I hope you all had an eventful week and I would also like to wish you a great start to the weekend! In this article I would like to go into a psychological topic and hope you are able to learn new things.
The term ostracism is also used when people behave ignorantly or exclude other people from something and there is a lack of communication without a clear reason for it and as a result, pressure is often exerted on people. This term can refer both to the ignoring by a group or individual person and has its roots in ancient Greece and is also derived from a ritual or punishment which was used against the few who did not correspond to the norm and it was about excluding them in order to express power. When people are ignored, it is typical that a feeling of insecurity is triggered in those affected and it can also be described as a form of contempt and is even considered one of the highest forms of it and often you see in people who ignore others that they are often stubborn to get involved in the opinion or feelings of others. There can be different reasons why people are ignored and some people show this behavior to specifically show others that they want nothing to do with one while others act out of shame or other reasons. Even if it is not always clear, ignorance can also be seen as a sign of weakness and it's of course rude to distance oneself from other people in this way, whereby of course it must always be taken into account whether it is assumed by one person himself or whether the person is under the influence of another will when it comes to this behavior. There are also people who use these methods specifically to harm others and especially with single persons or people who are not very strong this can trigger burdens and an ignorant person must also sometimes be associated with bullying where it is about exerting psychological pressure on others.
This can have personal or arbitrary reasons and often emerge from a group and even if it's not always clear why others ignore one, it can also be considered a sign of rudeness, but it must always be differentiated here because there could be problems in the other person's life such as illness or other difficult situations, which is why people tend to ignore others. Some people have certain images in their heads which are usually already created in their childhood or through the media and this can also be called cultural indoctrination, which means that the others are excluded because of their nationality or other cultural things. On a political level, ignorance can also be regarded as a sign of weakness because without an open form of communication there are no negotiations and in other ways, it's often referred to as a strategy to exercise power and some see it in a targeted manner which is often used to express power. When someone is ignored, this creates stress in people who tend to create other behaviors, which also changes the decisions and thus often creates a very strange form of connection and often this results in people binding others to themselves through ignorance and are therefore in a dominant role and often above each other. Even if it's not always clear why a person ignores you, it must always be seen differentiated and people should know that it does not always have to have negative reasons and the best thing is to show transparency and not burden yourself and if others specifically ignore you with the goal of harming you, people should always remain calm and the best thing is to counteract someone who deliberately ignores you with the same method.
Many thanks for stopping by and I hope you could learn something new about this topic! I captured these pictures with my Camera Sony Alpha 6000 plus 55-210 mm lens.

I like these winter days the most and I also try to spend the rest of my life in a similar place where it snows.
I can understand that! Such places are perfect to spend the time :)
I wasn't familiar with the term "ostracism". It's a new learning for me.
Are you a psychologist?
I'm glad you could learn something new, this concept is closely connected with the politics of the Athenians. No, I'm not. Wish you a pleasant weekend dear @hafiz34
