Psychology behind Idols and Role models
Hey dear community, first of all I would like to welcome you all to my new post and hope you had a day that brought some interesting experiences into your life! In this article I would like to talk about psychology and hope you are able to expand your knowledge a bit.
Role models are also people who show a behaviour that is remarkable for others and should encourage imitation and with idols, this is rather not the case and these are ideal figures who are revered because of their status and a good example here are certain celebrities. Where role models play a particularly important role is in the education of children and here it is about stationing an example and carrying out actions to which the children can orient themselves and influence behaviour in the long term and also in other areas where it is about influencing many people such as in the field of advertising or other areas of the public, role models are presented which are normally created artificially and should steer the mass in a certain direction. With role models of the public, it is particularly important that the broad mass can identify with them and helps people to find their way better in certain difficult situations or to motivate them to perform actions and a particularly strong effect got role models on people who are just developing and role models influence the phase of self-discovery very strongly. Already in the past, it was possible to see that young people were looking for role models and this phenomenon has particularly increased with the development of the media and even if idols should not specifically encourage imitation, this still happens unconsciously and a good example are stars who present their ideology to the general public and thus create trends that can refer to the attitude in various areas such as politics. Idols often create a sense of cohesion and certain leading figures such as idols quickly create a cult-like behaviour that can motivate people in different areas to perform actions such as music, film or other areas of entertainment.
