Pollen and Nectar

Good day dear community, I hope you are all doing well so far and you had a weekend full of interesting experiences! In my new contribution, I would like to discuss nature and hope you can learn new things.

Some plants have a particularly high supply of it such as bee-friendly plants which are especially useful due to the high supply of pollen or nectar and these species are very important from an ecological point of view and make a huge contribution to biodiversity. Bees are of great importance for the survival of nature and have the important tasks of pollinating most of the plants that attract the bees and other insects with their nectar and also need plants for propagation. Bee-friendly plants are particularly characterised by the long flowering period and there are also fundamental differences between food intake and pollen serves especially for the young insects and is important to provide the offspring with enough nutrients which serves as an important energy supplier and the nectar is particularly important for older bees. Pollen contains various nutrients such as vitamins, protein, minerals and enzymes which the offspring needs and as a supplier of energy, the nectar is particularly rich in sugar which is formed by photosynthesis and it also contains vitamins and other important nutrients. Bee-friendly plants are also the most useful for the production of honey and beekeepers should pay particular attention to this when choosing the right plant and when bees fly out for collection, they find the pollen and nectar in the flowers which is then transported with the legs to the hive and is considered as food and if more should be found, it is deposited there and transforms into honey over a longer period of time. Some insects need a lot of pollen or nectar and the need is also related to the activity as well as lifetime and some insects have particularly focussed on certain plants and if these are threatened or endangered, the entire cycle is also in imbalance.

Many thanks for stopping by and I hope you could learn something new about nature! I captured these pictures with my Camera Sony Alpha 6000 plus 55-210 mm lens.
