Garlic parachute (Mycetinis alliaceus)
Good day everyone, I hope you had a weekend that brought some interesting experiences into your life as well as a great start to the new week! In this article I would like to talk about nature and present a new mushroom and hope you can expand your knowledge.
This mushroom is also known as garlic parachute or scientifically Mycetinis alliaceus and one of the most interesting properties of this mushroom is the intense smell which is reminiscent of garlic and also the taste is somewhat reminiscent of it. It is often very controversial whether it is an edible mushroom and in small quantities it can be of great interest while consumption in higher quantities is not recommended because it can lead to side effects in sensitive people and especially the consumption can lead to complaints of the gastrointestinal tract. Some people are drying the mushroom and use the powder in small quantities to season food but here there is generally always to mention that if you are not sure, you should always advise against consumption especially because of mushrooms with which it can be confused or intolerance! The season starts from the beginning of summer and extends until autumn and preferably it grows in deciduous forests where it can be found on beech wood and especially often you find the garlic parachute on lime-rich soils and typical for this mushroom is the long dark or black stem which can reach a length of up to 20 cm. The hat is brown on the upper side and relatively inconspicuous and the slats have a white or cream-colored appearance and even if there are confusion partners, the fungus itself is relatively easy to recognize. It is particularly widespread in Europe and the rarity varies depending on the area where this fungus grows and in some areas you will find large quantities while in others you have to be lucky to find only a few specimens.
Thank you very much for stopping by and I hope you could learn something new about nature! I captured these pictures with my Camera Sony Alpha 6000 plus 55-210 mm lens.
I didn't know about mushroom before, I got to know through your post today.
That's motivating for me to hear that you were able to learn something new through my contribution :)

The color of this mushroom says not to eat too much. If there is a problem with eating too much, then don't eat it. Good to know it has garlic flavor
Thank you for the feedback dear @momins
