"Sandcastles" - A Poem

I will hold your hand
Build another castle from the sand
And we will both pretend
That we really used cement
And when the waves come
As the waves will
We won't block them
We'll just stand still
Hoping hope can hold the walls
Even as we watch them fall

It's been a while, maybe about two or three months, right? I'm never really gone but I guess I tend to have creative lulls from time to time so I can't commit to posting regularly. It's a good thing I'm not aiming to be an influencer in this lifetime 😅! But anyways, this poem came to me after a conversation I had with someone I care about but don't know how to help out of a tough situation. I do hope something works out but I don't think hope is enough right now.
