A few days ago I was organizing my agenda with the next ideas for Hive, with my cat sleeping next to me like every afternoon, and at that moment I realized that I hadn't dedicated a space to her in this place, she who is my queen and my everything🥺😱
Although I've mentioned my pets several times in my posts, I haven't really introduced you to their story, so I'm very excited to tell you how important Lys is in my life✨ And yes, my cat is named after my nickname🤭
Hace poco días estaba organizando mi agenda con las próximas ideas para Hive, con mi gata durmiendo a mi lado como todas las tardes, y en ese momento me dí cuenta que no le había dedicado un espacio a ella en este lugar, ella que es mi reina y mi todo🥺😱
A pesar de que he mencionado a mis mascotas varias veces en mis publicaciones, realmente no les he presentado su historia, así que estoy muy emocionada de decirles lo importante que es Lys en mi vida ✨ Y sí, mi gata se llama como mi seudónimo🤭
I love cats. I always have, but my parents didn't allow me to have one, at least not in the traditional way.... I have the habit of feeding kittens from the street, they come at a certain time, eat, and then leave. But once I found a very small kitten in the street, I could not leave her there and I had to adopt her, they gave me the permission, but she was sick for a long time, and despite my care she didn't survive, it broke my heart.
I was really depressed, and that's when Lys✨ My mom's friend's cat had given birth to two kittens, but they couldn't keep them, they didn't have the resources, so my mom talked to him about adopting one of the kittens (Lys' sister was also adopted by a family), and it was a big surprise when that tiny furball arrived.
Amo a los gatos. Desde siempre lo he hecho, pero mis padres no me permitían tener uno, al menos no de forma tradicional... Tengo la costumbre de alimentar gatitos de la calle, ellos vienen a cierta hora, comen, y luego se van. Pero una vez encontré un gatito muy pequeño en la calle, no podía dejarlo ahí y tuve que adoptarlo, me dieron el permiso, pero tenía mucho tiempo enfermo, y a pesar de mis cuidados no sobrevivió, eso me rompió el corazón.
Estaba realmente deprimida, y ahí fue cuando llegó Lys✨ La gata de un amigo de mi madre había dado a luz a dos gatitos, pero ellos no podían mantenerlos, no tenían los recursos, así que mi madre habló con él para adoptar a uno de los gatitos (la hermana de Lys también fue adoptada por una familia), y fue una gran sorpresa cuando esa bola de pelo pequeñita llegó.

It has been one of the best surprises of my life. Lys was very small, the size of my hand🥺 To live that experience of taking care of a cat is something different, they're exceptional creatures and it's not an easy job, they're demanding and intelligent.
Lys slept all day, and wanted to sleep on my shoulders as if she were a parrot🤭 She would climb up my pants, my shirt, and climb until she reached my shoulders, there she would cling to my clothes and fall asleep.
She would hide among the vegetables, you could find her sleeping among the potatoes or bananas. And every time she saw me she would start meowing for food. All these are things she still does, the difference is that she is no longer small and she is fat 🤭😂
Ha sido una de las mejores sorpresas de mi vida. Lys era muy pequeña, del tamaño de mi mano🥺 Vivir esa experiencia de cuidar un gato es algo distinto, son criaturas excepcionales y no es un trabajo fácil, son exigentes e inteligentes.
Lys dormía todo el día, y quería dormir en mis hombros como si fuera un loro🤭 Se subía por mi pantalón, mi camisa, y escalaba hasta llegar a mis hombros, allí se aferraba a mi ropa y se dormía.
Se escondía entre las verduras, la podías encontrar dormida entre las papas o plátanos. Y cada vez que me veía comenzaba a maullar pidiendo comida. Todo esto son cosas que aún hace, la diferencia es que ya no está pequeña y está gorda 🤭😂

She doesn't eat if she can see the bottom of her plate of her food🙄 She's insatiable, she can eat well in a moment and come back to ask for food five minutes later, but if she sees the bottom of her plate she doesn't eat her food.... The plate has to be full!!! And even if I move the food so you can't see the bottom of the plate she does start eating🤣
2. She loves the vegetable market and the hallaca leaves✨ The day of buying the food is one of her favorite days, because she sees again her beloved potatoes and bananas, spends a lot of time smelling everything, rubs herself with the bag, falls asleep next to the bag, and accompanies whoever keeps the food in its place, supervising that work. Also, in December, she goes crazy with the Hallaca leaves, and we prepare a bed of leaves for her 🤭

No come si puede ver el fondo de su plato de su comida🙄 Ella es insaciable, puede comer bien en un momento y volver a pedir comida cinco minutos después, pero si ella ve el fondo de su plato no se come su comida... ¡El plato tiene que estar lleno! E incluso si muevo la comida para que no se vea el fondo del plato si comienza a comer🤣
2. Adora el mercado de las verdura y las hojas de la hallaca✨ El día de comprar la comida es uno de sus días favoritos, porque vuelve a ver a sus queridas papas y plátanos, pasa bastante tiempo oliendo todo, se restriega con la bolsa, se duerme al lado de la bolsa, y acompaña a quién guarde la comida en su sitio, supervisando esa labor. También, en los Diciembre, se enloquece con las hojas de la Hallaca, y le preparamos una cama de hojas 🤭

3. She's punctual and routine⏰ Lys goes out every day without fail, at 6am and returns at 7am, walks around the roofs of the neighbors' houses, shows the other cats that she is the queen of the place and comes back to the house. She spends all day sleeping in the same places, and then, in the evenings, she goes out again at 6pm and returns at 8pm to eat dinner and go back to sleep. Seriously, she does the same thing every day, at the same times. When she doesn't come back at those times I get worried and start calling her, and within minutes she arrives.
4. She has a judging gaze💫 There is a very characteristic detail of my cat, and that is her gaze. With the way of her gaze you feel that she's evaluating your every step, seeing all your mistakes, and criticizing you in her head. She's too expressive🤣 and I really love that about her. Yes, she's very hateful, everything annoys her, but she's my queen.
3. Es puntual y rutinaria⏰ Lys sale cada día sin falta, a las 6am y regresa a las 7am, da una vuelta por los techos de la casas de los vecinos, le demuestra a los otros gatos que ella es la reina del lugar y vuelve a la casa. Pasa todo el día durmiendo en los mismos sitios, y luego, en las tardes, sale otra vez a las 6pm y regresa a las 8pm para cenar y volver a dormir. En serio, hace lo mismo cada día, a las mismas horas. Cuando no regresa a esas horas me preocupo y comienzo a llamarla, y a los minutos llega.
4. Tiene una mirada que juzga💫 Hay un detalle muy característico de mi gata, y es su mirada. Con la forma de su mirada sientes que está evaluando cada uno de tus pasos, viendo todos tus errores, y criticandote en su cabeza. Es demasiado expresiva🤣 y realmente adoro eso de ella. Sí, es muy odiosa, todo le molesta, pero es mi reina.

5. She doesn't like humans🤭 Lys is bothered when people come to visit at home. She doesn't allow herself to be touched by anyone other than us. If we have friends or family gathered in the house she hides, or sits in a corner looking ugly at everyone. It's as if humans steal her peace😂
6. She's a very demanding animal💖 Lys likes things done her way, and when she wants it. And if that doesn't happen that way, she knows how to draw attention to herself... She can meow for a long time; she jumps on my bed, sits next to me and meows; she follows me around the house; she sits on my feet or bites me softly; she doesn't give up until she gets what she wants. Even if it's begging for food, when I've already given her a few minutes ago.
5. No le agrada los humanos🤭 A Lys le molesta que lleguen personas de visita en la casa. Ella no se deja tocar por otra persona que no seamos nosostros. Si tenemos amigos o familiares reunidos en la casa ella se esconde, o se sienta en un rincón mirando feo a todos. Es como si los humanos le roban su paz😂
6. Es un animal muy exigente💖 A Lys le gusta que las cosas se hagan a su manera, y cuando ella lo desea. Y si eso no sucede así, ella sabe cómo llamar la atención... Puede maullar por un largo rato; salta a mi cama, se sienta a mi lado y me maulla; me sigue por toda la casa; se sienta en mis pies o me muerde suave; ella no se da por vencida hasta que logra lo que quiere. Incluso si es pedir comida, cuando ya le he dado unos minutos atrás.

7. She forbids me to go to the bathroom alone🙈 Every time I go into the bathroom she follows me, I may only go in to get one thing but she still goes after me, it's even possible that she's sleeping but if she hears that I'm in the bathroom she will go in too. I have read that cats do this because she feels it's a vulnerable time for their owners, and they need to take care of them. I don't know if it's true, but it would be a very nice thing to do.
8. She loves me ❤️ Sometimes it doesn't seem like it because she ignores me when I talk to her, bites me or gets angry when I want to be affectionate, but I know she loves me, and she shows it in her own way. A few days ago I was very sick, and she slept with me every day I was on bed rest, curled up next to me. Every morning when I wake up she comes over and rubs herself on my legs, and when I return to the house she waits for me on the stairs to greet me. She may not be a very affectionate cat, but in her own way she shows her love for me.
7. Me prohíbe ir al baño sola🙈
En cada momento que yo entro al baño ella me sigue, puede que solo entre a buscar una cosa pero ella igual va detrás de mí, incluso es posible que ella está durmiendo pero si escucha que yo estoy en el baño ella también va a entrar. He leído que los gatos hacen esto porque siente que es un momento vulnerable para sus dueños, y necesitan cuidarlos... No sé si es cierto, pero sería algo muy lindo.
8. Ella me ama❤️ A veces no lo parece porque me ignora cuando le hablo, me muerde o se enoja cuando quiero hacerle cariño, pero sé que me ama, y lo demuestra a su manera. Hace pocos días yo estaba muy enferma, y ella durmió conmigo cada día que estuve de reposo, acurrucada a mi lado. Cada mañana cuando me despierto ella se acerca y se restriega en mis piernas, y cuando regreso a la casa ella me espera en las escaleras para saludarme. Quizás no sea una gata muy cariñosa, pero a su manera ella me demuestra su amor.

@eldiariodelys Lys es bellísima (como su dueña 💖) me encanta saber un poco más de su historia que es similar a la mía con mi gata Louis 😸, mi gata cuando le da el celo se acuesta a dormir conmigo mientras se le pasa y hasta tiene algo con mi pierna operada que siempre busca arrecostarse en ella y me monta la patita en la herida 🥺
Los gatos son tan inteligentes y especiales que quisiera poder tener toda una casa llena de ellos, los amo 💖

Ellos son animales grandiosos, muy astutos e inteligentes, siento que si hablas con ellos de alguna manera te comprenden, y aunque a veces son odiosos (hay que admitirlo😂) ellos sí demuestran amor, como tu gatita 🥺 y te hace sentir especial cuando un gato te da cariño, ¿verdad?💖

They're special and wonderful creatures. Lys will probably give your cat a bad look at first, but then she gets used to having a new friend😌💖 (I do accept a new friend quickly, my cat is the hateful one😂)
Sky is quite friendly. We tried to introduce a kitty to him and he was very protective with her from the first seconds they met. I think we are really blessed to have him so sociable 💚
Hola amiga, que bella historia la de la gatica Lys, ellos son muy inteligente y cariñoso, me dejas encantada cuando dice que sale a dar su paseo y luega regresa alas 8 de la noche jajajaja, que pasada es Lys y callejera. Es una gatica preciosa.
Sí, es una callejera😂 y no le gusta que hayan gatos alrededor de la casa, ella piensa que es la dueña del mundo; es un animal muy característico, de verdad🤭

Este post se ha robado mi corazon ; u ; Lys es una gatita espectacular y digna ejemplar de su especie (also que ojozos!) ella encontró contigo su furrever home -cries in karen-; no conocía tu blog y estoy navegando por tus publicaciones y de verdad que bonita personalidad tienes, me quedo 💖
Me identifique contigo en la parte de que has cuidado un gatito que llego a ti muy enfermo, apenas el año pasado por fin pude tener gatos en casa, mi familia los detesta y nunca pude cuidar uno, pero sí fui hogar de paso mas o menos desde 2019, principalmente de gatitos sin mamá o callejeros en mal estado pero fueron muchos los que no lo lograron a pesar de todos los cuidados, medicamentos y atenciones... y esa tristeza no se la deseo a nadie.
BTW LA FOTO DONDE SOSTIENE EL MARCADOR CON LAS PETITAS T____T PRECIOUS BABY!
De verdad es una experiencia muy difícil, quisiéramos ayudar a todos los gatos del mundo y tratamos de hacer lo mejor que podamos, por eso cuando cuidamos a uno y no sobrevive nos rompe el corazón en mil pedacitos🥺 Así que mi Lys fue un rayito de luz en mi vida en un momento triste.
Mi familia no me acepta otro gato🤭 si entra otro gato a la casa, me tiran a la calle a mí. Pero eso no implica que no pueda alimentar a cada gatito que está cerca de la casa (mientras que Lys, en sus momentos criminales, no los espante). Y sí, está bastante loca, pero es una belleza de animal, una reina y ella se comporta como tal😂
