Sé que he estado un poco perdida de la plataforma esta semana, pero me atrapó un cuadro viral que me dejó en cama en éstos últimos días. Sin embargo, ya voy recuperando mi vitalidad, y además, ya comencé las vacaciones de verano de la universidad, así que estaré más descansada y sin estrés para estar más tiempo con ustedes🥺

Ayer, lunes 22 de julio, hubo un evento muy importante que debía compartir, dado que mi hermana se graduó de bachiller✨ Para mi familia fue significativo que la más chiquita del grupo ya haya culminado su educación media, y está a un paso de ingresar a la universidad.

I know I've been a bit lost from the platform this week, but I got caught up with a viral illness that left me in bed the last few days. However, I'm getting my vitality back, and besides, I've already started my summer vacation from the university, so I'll be more rested and stress-free to spend more time with you🥺

Yesterday, Monday, July 22, there was a very important event that I had to share, since my sister graduated from high school✨ For my family it was significant that the youngest of the group has already completed her high school education, and is one step away from entering college.

Después de estudiar cinco años de bachiller, mi hermana se graduó con el mejor promedio🥺 Sé que sus profesores, obreros de la institución, y sus amigos, crearon un lindo vínculo con ella, porque cuando mencionaron su nombre para subir a recibir su medalla y título tuvo bastante aplausos. Y fue aún más emocionante ver a mi madre, quien es Profesora de Matemáticas de la Institución, darle su medalla (como lo hizo conmigo en su momento)💖

Fue nostálgico asistir a esa graduación, dado que varios años atrás, estuve en esa misma posición. En ese mismo colegio estudié, me gradué, y tengo varios recuerdos y vínculos bonitos. Fue emocionante volver, ver a mis antiguos profesores, y reflexionar sobre todo lo que he hecho en éstos años.

After studying five years of high school, my sister graduated with the best average🥺 I know that her teachers, workers of the institution, and her friends, created a nice bond with her, because when they mentioned her name to go up to receive her medal and title she had quite a lot of applause. And it was even more exciting to see my mother, who is a Mathematics Teacher at the Institution, give her her medal (as she did with me at the time)💖

It was nostalgic to attend that graduation, given that several years ago, I was in that same position. In that same school I studied, graduated, and have many beautiful memories and bonds. It was exciting to go back, see my old professors, and reflect on all that I have done over the years.

Gracias a mi hermana conocí a otros tres jóvenes maravillosos que son sus amigos, su equipo de trabajo, quiénes también se graduaron con honores. Y a quiénes aprecio como otros hermanos para mí. Los conozco desde que eran pequeñitos, y ver cómo han crecido, aprendido, los jóvenes que se han convertido, es importante para mí.

Tenemos la gran esperanza de que mi hermana ingresará a la universidad que desea (dónde yo estudio), para cursar Ingeniería Informática. Siempre ha sido una gran estudiante, disciplinada e inteligente, así que sabemos que logrará todas sus metas. Estamos ansiosos esperando ese correo electrónico que le diga que ha sido aceptada en la universidad ✨

Thanks to my sister I met three other wonderful young people who are her friends, her work team, who also graduated with honors. And whom I appreciate as other siblings to me. I have known them since they were little, and to see how they have grown, learned, the young people they have become, is important to me.

We are very hopeful that my sister will get into the university of her choice (where I study), to study Computer Engineering. She has always been a great student, disciplined and intelligent, so we know she will achieve all her goals. We are anxiously waiting for that email to tell her that she has been accepted to the university ✨

El acto era temprano por la mañana, pero justo ayer el cielo decidió que era momento de que lloviera lo que no ha llovido en las últimas semanas, así que el acto se retrasó. Eran 66 graduandos, y mi hermana era la 63🙃 Pero estar con mi abuela siempre ayuda a que el tiempo pase rápido, por sus comentarios divertidos.

A la 1:30 pm terminó toda la ceremonia, y fuimos a celebrar (y a comer, estábamos hambrientos) a un restaurante que desde hace tiempo quería ir: China Continental. A veces es necesario salir de la rutina, comer cosas diferentes, y yo siempre amaré comer cosas ricas. La comida estaba completamente deliciosa, probé las mejores lumpias de mi vida (rellenas de queso y champiñones), y el servicio al cliente fue un 10/10. Además, casualmente, pusieron música de Taylor Swift de fondo en todo el tiempo que estuve allí. Y la decoración del lugar es preciosa y elegante, te hace sentir estar en un momento especial.

The ceremony was early in the morning, but just yesterday the sky decided it was time for rain that hasn't rained for the past few weeks, so the ceremony was delayed. There were 66 graduating seniors, and my sister was 63🙃 But being with my grandmother always helps the time go by fast, because of her funny comments.

At 1:30 pm the whole ceremony was over, and we went to celebrate (and to eat, we were hungry) to a restaurant that I had wanted to go to for a long time: China Continental. Sometimes you need to get out of the routine, eat different things, and I will always love to eat delicious things. The food was absolutely delicious, I tried the best lumpias of my life (stuffed with cheese and mushrooms), and the customer service was a 10/10. Also, coincidentally, they played Taylor Swift music in the background the whole time I was there. And the decor of the place is beautiful and elegant, it makes you feel like you're in a special moment.

Puede que mi hermana y yo tengamos pequeñas discusiones cada día, pero es, sin duda, mi persona favorita en el mundo. Estoy completamente orgullosa de ella, y espero verla seguir creciendo, estar allí para apoyarla en lo que necesite💖

El tiempo puede transcurrir increíblemente rápido, y a veces ni nos damos cuenta, por esa razón siempre aconsejaré que disfruten el momento, disfruten el tiempo que tengan al lado de sus seres queridos. No permitan que pasen los años, volteen hacia atrás, y sientan que no han vivido, o que no le han demostrado su amor a esas personas que aman. Disfruten cada momento especial de tu vida✨

My sister and I may have little arguments every day, but she is, without a doubt, my favorite person in the world. I am completely proud of her, and I hope to see her continue to grow, to be there to support her in whatever she needs💖

Time can go by incredibly fast, and sometimes we don't even realize it, for that reason I will always advise you to enjoy the moment, enjoy the time you have with your loved ones. Don't let the years go by, look back, and feel that you haven't lived, or that you haven't shown your love to those people you love. Enjoy every special moment of your life✨
