💥Buddy Daddies: why should you watch it now? || Buddy Daddies: ¿por qué deberías verlo ahora?🩵✨

A few days ago my dear friend @mandysmoon invited me to participate in this initiative, which I really loved, because even though my favorite anime (which I adore with all my soul) are the incredibly recognized and wonderful Naruto and One Piece, I also like to watch those that are not famous, that I see some random detail about it on the internet, and it attracts me to give it a chance. And I feel that in that way I have found little works of art in the world of anime😌

As this contest is about recommending a little recognized anime to enjoy during the holidays, immediately came to my mind the name of Buddy Daddies✨ It premiered last January, it's an original work (it has no manga), so, it only has a conclusive season of 12 chapters (too few for my taste😭), and presents us with a different plot that catches you from the pilot chapter, so -please- continue reading and meet my dear Kazuki, Rei and Miri💗

Hace pocos días mi querida amiga @mandysmoon me invitó a participar en esta iniciativa, que realmente me encantó, porque a pesar de que mis animes favoritos (que adoro con toda mi alma) son los increíblemente reconocidos y maravillosos Naruto y One Piece, también me gusta ver aquellos que no son famosos, que veo algún detalle random acerca del mismo en internet y me atrae a darle una oportunidad. Y siento que de esa manera he encontrado pequeñas obras de arte en el mundo del anime😌

Como este concurso es acerca de la recomendación de un anime poco reconocido para disfrutar durante las fiestas, inmediatamente vino a mi mente el nombre de Buddy Daddies✨ Se estrenó el pasado mes de enero, es una obra original (no tiene manga), por lo cual, solo cuenta con una temporada conclusiva de 12 capítulos (muy pocos para mi gusto😭), y nos presenta una trama diferente que te atrapa desde el capítulo piloto, así que —por favor— continúa leyendo y conoce a mis queridos Kazuki, Rei y Miri💗

Kazuki Kurusu and Rei Suwa are hired assassins; even though Kazuki has a Golden Retriever personality and Rei is a little black kitten, we cannot ignore the fact that they have sent many people to the other world. Therefore, one of their missions is to eliminate a corrupt businessman, and they plan to do it during a Christmas Eve event... the day that changed their lives completely.

The plan was going as they expected, but was interrupted by little four-year-old Miri. A little girl who was abandoned in the place, and was looking for her father that she didn't know yet. Kazuki was worried about her and tried to get her to safety from what was coming, but she follows him, and gets caught in the middle of the massacre. Kazuki and Rei continue with their plan, eliminating anyone who crosses their paths, until Kazuki notices Miri at the scene, and in order to save her he tells her that he is her father. She believes him, Rei assassinates the target, and they both end up with a little girl in their lives.

Kazuki Kurusu y Rei Suwa son asesinos a sueldo; a pesar de que Kazuki tiene una personalidad de Golden Retriever y Rei es un pequeño gatito negro, no podemos ignorar el hecho de que han enviado al otro mundo a muchas personas. Por lo tanto, una de sus misiones es eliminar a un empresario corrupto, y planifican hacerlo durante un evento de Noche Buena… el día que cambió sus vidas completamente.

El plan iba como ellos esperaban, pero fue interrumpido por la pequeña Miri de cuatro años. Una niña que estaba abandonada en el lugar, y buscaba a su padre que aún no conocía. Kazuki se preocupó por ella e intentó ponerla a salvo de lo que se venía, pero ella lo sigue, y queda atrapada en el centro de la masacre. Kazuki y Rei prosiguen con su plan, eliminando a cualquiera que se cruce en sus caminos, hasta que Kazuki nota a Miri en el lugar, y con la finalidad de salvarla le dice que él es su padre. Ella le cree, Rei asesina el objetivo, y ambos terminan con una pequeña en sus vidas.

And so the story begins. Two young mobsters who can barely take care of themselves, must take care of and raise a little girl😬 They will try to return Miri to her mother, of course, but this woman rejects her daughter and leaves her with these two strangers. But these two characters are gorgeous, and they take on the role of parent because Miri steals their hearts; so by day they are first-time parents and by night they go around killing people to earn money and give their daughter a good life.

It's very funny, interesting and really tender to see how Kazuki and Rei adapt to their new life🥺 Despite being two men with personal problems, past traumas and not knowing what to do with their lives, apart from murdering, they try to give their best for this little girl. She arrives to bring warmth to the house, and make them smile. And although the path they chose is not an easy one, and there will be many obstacles along the way, it is worth taking a moment in this little vacation and giving this family a chance.

Y así comienza la historia. Dos jovenes mafiosos que apenas se pueden hacer cargo de sí mismos, deben cuidar y criar a una niña😬 Ellos intentarán regresar a Miri con su madre, por supuesto, pero esta mujer rechaza a su hija y la deja con estos dos desconocidos. Pero estos dos personajes son preciosos, y asumen el rol de padre porque Miri les roba el corazón; así que de día son padres primerizos y de noche andan matando gente para ganar dinero y darle una buena vida a su hija.

Es muy divertido, interesante y realmente tierno ver como Kazuki y Rei se adaptan a su nueva vida🥺 A pesar de ser dos hombres con problemas personales, traumas del pasado y sin saber qué hacer con sus vidas, aparte de asesinar, intentan dar lo mejor de sí mismos por esta niña. Ella llega para darle calidez a la casa, y hacerlos sonreír. Y aunque no es fácil el camino que escogieron, y habrá muchos obstáculos en el recorrido, vale la pena tomarse un momento en estas pequeñas vacaciones y darle una oportunidad a esta familia.

One of the details that I enjoyed while watching this anime, is that since it doesn't have manga there are no plot spoilers. Every week was a chapter full of surprises😁 At the same time, another factor that I love, are the characters. Despite being only 12 chapters, there is a good character development, and you create a bond with them because you sympathize with their problems. I laughed many times, and I admit I even cried, I was waiting with excitement for the new chapter, because it transmits those vibes that makes you feel relaxed and optimistic.

Kazuki is cheerful, outgoing, full of passion. He's the kind of parent who is there supporting you in everything you do, prepares Miri's lunchbox every morning, befriends the teacher and the other moms, and worries about every detail. He has a pretty sad past (common in anime), but you understand the reason he's so protective of Miri🥺

Uno de los detalles que disfruté mientras veía este anime, es que al no tener manga no hay spoilers de la trama. Cada semana era un capítulo lleno de sorpresas😁 Al mismo tiempo, otro factor que me encanta, son los personajes. A pesar de ser solo 12 capítulos, existe un buen desarrollo de personajes, y creas un vínculo con ellos debido a que simpatizas con sus problemas. Me reí muchas veces, y admito que hasta lloré, esperaba con emoción el nuevo capítulo, porque transmite esas vibras que te hace sentir relajado y optimista.

Kazuki es alegre, extrovertido, lleno de pasión. Es la clase de padre que está ahí apoyándote en todo lo que hagas, prepara la lonchera de Miri cada mañana, se hace amigo de la maestra y las otras mamás, y se preocupa de cada detalle. Tiene un pasado bastante triste (común en el anim), pero comprendes la razón de que sea tan protector con Miri🥺

On the other hand, Rei is the opposite, introverted and quiet, you feel he hates everyone. But he's the kind of spoiled father, who gives everything to his daughter because she's the light of his eyes. It's not that he's bitter, he just doesn't know how to give affection, and Miri arrives to teach him what a family is💕 And finally, Miri is exactly like a four-year-old, preschooler. You feel very real her expressions, her way of thinking and behaving. And that's what grabs you, the normality of the characters, yes, they are mobsters, but in their daily routine they're just like you and me.

Por otro lado, Rei es lo opuesto, introvertido y callado, sientes que odia a todos. Pero es la clase de padre consentidor, que le da todo a su hija porque es la luz de sus ojos. No es que sea amargado, simplemente no sabe como dar afecto, y Miri llega para enseñarle lo que es una familia💕

Y por último, Miri es exactamente como una niña de cuatro años, en etapa preescolar. Se sienten muy real sus expresiones, su manera de pensar y comportarse. Y eso es lo que te atrapa, la normalidad de los personajes, sí, son unos mafiosos, pero en su rutina diaria son como tú y yo.

And you might be wondering, "are they two men taking care of a girl?". Yes😂 At first I thought they were a couple, but they're just very good friends, co-workers and roommates. And, it's really nice to see how no one judges them; they both introduce themselves as Miri's parents, they go together at all times, and it feels like the most normal thing. No one looks at them wrong, no one questions them, everyone accepts the fact that they're a family.

There are different characters that give the main characters problems, but the central villain is life itself and all its complexities. What do you do if a classmate bothers your daughter? What do you do if you think she likes a boy? What do you do if she doesn't want to eat the nutrients she needs? What do you do if your roommate spends all day playing video games and doesn't help you with the chores around the house?😂

Y te estarás preguntando: “¿son dos hombres cuidando a una niña?”. Sí😂 Al principio pensé que eran pareja, pero solo son muy buenos amigos, compañeros de trabajo y de cuarto. Y, es realmente agradable ver como nadie los juzga; ambos se presentan como los padres de Miri, van juntos en todo momento, y se siente la cosa más normal. Nadie los mira mal, nadie los cuestiona, todos aceptan el hecho de que ellos son una familia.

Hay distintos personajes que dan problemas a los protagonistas, pero el villano central es la vida en sí y todas sus complejidades. ¿Qué haces si a tu hija la molesta un compañero? ¿Qué haces si crees que ella gusta de un niño? ¿Qué haces si no quiere comer los nutrientes que necesita? ¿Qué haces si tu compañero pasa todo el día jugando videojuegos y no te ayuda con los quehaceres de la casa?😂

Also, a big plus is the animation✨ P.A. Works studio, did an excellent job: the colors are vibrant, elements very well detailed, and smooth animation. The moment you start watching it, it creates a fresh, colorful, relaxing atmosphere. You feel calm, wanting to continue watching the next chapter, and I think that's what we are looking for at this time of the year. And finally, I must mention the opening song… spectacular. I have it downloaded on my phone, and it's one of those intro that you can't skip because you love the song. Shock! is its name, and if you still don't feel decided to watch the anime, go to Youtube and listen to the song, it will give you that push you need🤭

Además, un gran punto a favor es la animación✨ El estudio de P.A. Works, hizo un excelente trabajo: los colores son vibrantes, elementos muy bien detallados, y animación fluida. En el momento que comienzas a verlo crea un ambiente fresco, colorido, relajante. Te sientes tranquilo, con ganas de continuar viendo el otro capítulo, y considero que eso es lo que buscamos en esta época del año. Y para finalizar, debo mencionar la canción del opening… espectacular. La tengo descargada en mi teléfono, y es de esos intro que no puedes saltar porque adoras la canción. Shock! es su nombre, y si aún no te sientes decidido de ver el anime, ve a Youtube y escucha la canción, te dará ese empujón que necesitas🤭

That attempt to balance being a father to a little girl, and working as a hitman, is not easy, but it's very entertaining for the audience. Don't confuse it with Spy x Family, as many do, because Buddy Daddies focuses more on the difficulty of raising a child and maintaining a family. Yes, it is explicit, and they will murder anyone, but the reflection is about the importance of the family bond, and not specifically the blood family, but the one you choose to have.

Each chapter is better than the last, and leaves a warmth in your chest. So if you're looking for something new, relaxed and short, I recommend this anime without a doubt. You're going to enjoy it, and you're going to thank me✨

Ese intento de equilibrar el ser padre de una niña pequeña, y trabajar como sicario, no es fácil, pero sí es muy entretenido para el público. No lo confundas con Spy x Family, como muchos lo hacen, porque Buddy Daddies se centra más en la dificultad de criar a un niño y mantener una familia. Sí, es explícito y asesinan a cualquiera, pero la reflexión es acerca de la importancia del vínculo familiar, y no específicamente la familia de sangre, sino la que tú escoges tener.

Cada capítulo es mejor que el anterior, y te deja una calidez en el pecho. Así que si estás buscando algo nuevo, relajado y corto, te recomiendo sin ninguna duda este anime. Lo vas a disfrutar, y me vas a agradecer✨
