Weekend Experience - Enjoing The Beach

My weekend was incredibly fun, my wife and I had nothing planned. Usually at weekends we stay at home and end up meeting my mother-in-law or my parents for lunch or dinner.

But this weekend was different, as we decided to go to the beach. My wife's aunt gave us her beach house for a very symbolic price. We also invited another couple of friends to spend the weekend with us.

We live close to the beach, and it's about an hour's drive to our seaside destination. A lot of the time, due to the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we stop enjoying the best moments of our lives in order to focus on working and missing out on life.

We left home on Saturday at around 12 noon and arrived at our destination so hungry that we decided to go to a local restaurant to enjoy a delicious shrimp and armadillo stew. And the dish is even tastier when you're with someone you love. It had been a long time since I had eaten this dish, which was delicious.

Arriving at the beach house, we spent the rest of the afternoon by the pool talking about the good things in life, and of course eating and drinking a lot. Making the most of life is something we should do whenever we can, after all life is full of problems and sometimes we need to relax.

This beach house has a very good structure, with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, 2 of which are suites. There was plenty of room for two couples, and we were supposed to have more people, but they couldn't be with us.

In the late afternoon, we decided to go to the beach, but it was already late and we missed the sunset. Even so, the view was incredible and we enjoyed the evening contemplating the landscape and washing our souls with a swim in the sea.

The sky was dazzling with reddish tones, and in person it was more incredible than a cell phone camera could capture. As night fell, we headed back to the house, which is just a five-minute walk from the beach.

When we got home, we fired up the barbecue and made a nice barbecue to eat in the evening. While my friend and I were on the grill roasting the meat, the wives were in the kitchen preparing a vinaigrette salad and a nice farofa to accompany the barbecue.

After dinner we went to play cards, it was great fun and the hours seemed to pass more quickly. We talked for a long time about various things until we fell asleep. The girls even ventured to the swimming pool, the final here in Brazil is very hot and there's nothing better than cooling off.

The next day, we bought a rib and prepared it early in the morning by wrapping it in aluminum foil. It was on the fire from 8am until 1pm. The result was tender, juicy meat, which was our lunch.

While the meat was cooking, we went to the beach again. This time we spent most of the morning sunbathing and swimming in the sea. Even our friends' dog, Luna, took a dip in the sea. She went with us on this adventure and I bet she loved every moment of it.

That was my weekend. I hope you enjoyed my weekend experience. I wasn't able to record every moment, because when I'm out like this I try to disconnect as much as possible from screens and social networks.
