Battle of Two Regencies
If you are expecting an armed war, then you are going to be disappointed. Because this is a war of infrastructure, how they build, maintain, and the view of those battling infrastructure.
why I called it a battle is because this infrastructure is built side by side in the regency border between Karangasem and Klungkung regency.
And both of them are rest area from a provincial road connecting Denpasar the capital of Bali, to Amlapura the town of Karangasem regency.
Ok first let's take a look from the Karangasem side first as it was built much earlier. I think this is the best development made by the previous Regent of Karangasem.
The place was called Yeh Malet and just like the other place now, they have a big name, with some light in it.
These are some of the place available for motorists to take a rest and enjoy the beach view.
Or they have a small pier-like place just for you to take pictures.
This is a big statue built there. Actually, there are some stalls in the area, but since I come there early in the morning the stall were all closed.
While this one is the border sign on the Karangasem side.
Next is the newly built rest area from Klungkung regency, The place is a lot smaller than the one on the Karangasem side.
The rest area is called Goa Lawah the same as the big temple located very close to it, but on the Klungkung side.
This small hut-like place we called Bale is much bigger than the one on the Karangasem side, but there is only a few of them around.
This theater-like place might be used to held performances in the future, but let's see how it turns out. They also have stall in the farthest building.
And this one is one of the statues built in this rest area.
Let's see how these two places will be in the future, will they still be well maintained and looks good, or will be broken and never be maintained when the regent is changed.
But one thing for sure Indonesian especially Balinese needs to change is their littering habit. This kind of thing is still very common in almost any tourist spot or crowded area throughout the island.
Sebuah pantai yang sangat indah dan asri.
terima kasih om,
pantainya memang indah sekali om. meskipun syaa jarang singgah kesana, kecuali waktu ambil foto ini
Same here bro, most of the people did not really care about the cleanliness of the beach. Lots of dustbin already being prepared but still they littering.
Yes it will surely need sometimes for the people to truly understand not to litter in the public are, or wherever they are.

Mentality of some people.... 😐😐😐
yes, an ugly fact that we can't just erase or change very fast and easy.
hahahaha I swear, the littering part is everywhere. Even at temples, I commonly found bottles and food packaging. It's really sad cause a lot of these places often provide trashcans. I've never been to beach around those area, it looks like southern beach with black sand. Do you cross these places everyday?
We just don't have a habit of putting the trash into the bin. But always complain the hardest when the place is a bit dirty, or when there is flooding caused by littering and trash on the river or drainage.
most of the eastern beaches are either rocky or with black sands. Only in white beach or virgin becash in the Karangasem which has the white sand beach.
not everyday, but each time I have to come for work i pass this place.
Nice places. Color of the sky is unique and beautiful in beach view.
Thank you very much. I am glad that you like it.

Unfortunately, that bad littering habit is everywhere...ad it doesn't matter whether its a rich western country or a developing nation...the common denominator is the human factor...
Otherwise, that was a great tour for us to see what it's like in that part of the world, so thanks so much for sharing!
My pleasure, I really hope that I can bring more toward the community about my part of the world. :)
thank you for your encouragement.
I tough that the degree of littering might be lesser than it is here. at least that is what has been portrayed so far. the human factor is really in so much control of this littering problem.
Nope, like I said, it is a HUGE problem everywhere and I think it is laziness and also stupidity, for people are too stupid to realise the longterm impacts of their littering.
It has such a damaging effect all the way through the chain and in the end, ends up in the oceans and into the stomachs, slowly poisoning those very same fish (and everything else..) that the people want to eat...and then the people get sick and stupidly wonder why...🙄
I can't wait to see more of your world!
Bring it on my friend! 😃
And until then,
