Desde pequeño siempre había escuchado historias sobre ángeles, esos seres de luz que caminan junto a nosotros, aunque no los podamos ver, al menos no a simple vista. Por supuesto que siempre me han llamado la atención, ¿a ti no?, debido al concepto que abarcan en sí, sobre todo la parte de lo fantástico que sería contar con esta especie de ayuda divina, entre tanta desgracia a la que somos expuestos, para variar. Pero somos tan escépticos en el peor de los casos, que no estamos para estas cosas, ¿verdad? Sin embargo, creo que si existen los ángeles, me niego a creer que no.

Puede ser que como fueron creados a nuestra imagen o semejanza, según dice la Biblia, pues quizás ahí se encuentre la raíz del problema, de que se nos puedan pasar por alto, ¿no crees? En mi caso no fue una excepción de la regla, también caminé a tal velocidad, que todos esos pequeños destellos se me fueron escapando de cierta manera, en repetidas ocasiones. Y es que estamos programados de tal modo, que solo vemos lo que queremos, nuestras propias metas, así como lo que tenemos o debemos hacer por lograrlas. Todo pasa frente a nuestros ojos a kilómetros por horas, hasta que un día te ganas la lotería, comienzan aparecer más de un ángel a tu vida, muchos siempre estuvieron presentes.

Todavía no los puedes ver como en realidad son, pues como decía anteriormente es muy difícil apreciar uno de estos especímenes maravillosos, hay que detenerse a mirar esos pequeños detalles que van cambiando el mundo a tu alrededor. Tranquilo, nada de alas que se despliegan o destellos de luz que adormecen nuestros ojos, no es de eso que te estoy hablando. Lo que te digo es que sin darte cuenta, así sin más, si tenías una herida en el pasado, poco a poco comienza a cicatrizar. Cada momento del día se vuelve confortante como esa suave almohada, un poco más tolerable, porque comienzas a entender que pase lo que pase ese ángel siempre estará allí, o al menos así quisiéramos.

Aunque no te puedes confiar, porque a pesar de que estos ángeles son lo suficientemente fuertes como para cargar el mundo en sus espaldas, pues también hay que cuidarlos con el mismo amor que nos proveen. Porque recuerda que aunque sean seres de luz, también son personas como nosotros, con todo el paquete completo de emociones, defectos e imperfecciones, a nuestra semejanza, ¿recuerdas? Por lo que todos estos ángeles en nuestras vidas, madre, padre, hermano, amigo, hijo, e incluso ese desconocido, que simplemente te extendió su mano para ayudarte en un momento dado, pues conforman esa especie filtro natural que siempre hemos tenido a mano.

Precisamente en el día de hoy uno de estos seres sanadores se encuentra de cumpleaños, chiquitina solo de tamaño, pero con un corazón que no le cabe en el pecho, alguien fundamental para que mi mundo sea más tolerable. Que no necesita filtros ni adjetivos renacentistas para describir sus acciones para con sus semejantes, sentimientos como nunca vistos en una persona. Más bien el que sí ha necesitado un poco más de tiempo para ver la vida de otro color, ha sido quien escribe, ahora veo ángeles por todos lados, espero que tú también.

It could be that since they were created in our image or likeness, as the Bible says, perhaps that is the root of the problem, that they can be overlooked, don't you think? In my case it was not an exception to the rule, I also walked at such a speed, that all those little flashes were escaping me in a certain way, repeatedly. And the fact is that we are programmed in such a way that we only see what we want, our own goals, as well as what we have or must do to achieve them. Everything happens in front of our eyes for miles for hours, until one day you win the lottery, more than one angel begins to appear in your life, many were always present.

You still can not see them as they really are, because as I said before it is very difficult to appreciate one of these wonderful specimens, you have to stop and look at those little details that are changing the world around you. Relax, nothing about wings that unfold or flashes of light that numb our eyes, that's not what I'm talking about. What I am telling you is that without realizing it, just like that, if you had a wound in the past, little by little it begins to heal. Every moment of the day becomes comforting like that soft pillow, a little more tolerable, because you begin to understand that no matter what happens that angel will always be there, or at least that's how we would like it to be.

Although you can not trust, because even though these angels are strong enough to carry the world on their backs, you also have to take care of them with the same love they provide us. Because remember that although they are beings of light, they are also people like us, with the whole package of emotions, flaws and imperfections, in our likeness, remember? So all these angels in our lives, mother, father, sibling, friend, child, and even that stranger, who simply extended his hand to help you at a given time, well they make up that kind of natural filter that we have always had at hand.

Precisely today one of these healing beings is on her birthday, tiny only in size, but with a heart that does not fit in her chest, someone fundamental to make my world more tolerable. Who does not need filters or Renaissance adjectives to describe her actions towards her fellow men, feelings like never seen in a person.
