I am one of those people who think that a professional, or person in general, has talents and strengths that can allow them to fulfill their mission or purpose in life in the best possible way, but these technical abilities or skills that they develop, must be accompanied with those human skills that allow them to improve the processes of interrelation with others. Let us remember that we are not "desert islands in a world of relationships".

Accordingly, yesterday 12-05, I started a training program for my university students, where I want to support them in their overall growth as future professionals in the area of Information Technology, because although the career is purely technological, young people must learn interpersonal relationships, empathy, teamwork, leadership, communication skills, time management, emotional intelligence, cooperation, networking and many others.

Soft skills, which I particularly think should not be "soft" because that term does not fit the importance they have for any person, since they determine human values, are related to understanding that we are human beings and we need to establish interpersonal relationships to dialogue, socialize or promote ourselves from our essence as people or professionals, they become the skills and relationship skills that the person must have, allowing to rescue the value that every human being deserves.

It is the process of maintaining ties between two or more people, where feelings and emotions are part of that process... We talk about the importance of being in balance Body-Mind-Emotions and Spirit, is to achieve harmony and energy flow of the person, everything that can help to establish relationships in the best way when working in a team, is to know that communication skills, empathy, emotional intelligence can put in order the ideas and develop better actions.

I think that a leader who is not empathetic will have problems working with the team. A leader is one who can have the skills, abilities, and strengths to develop the process of accompaniment, who can help the team to empower them and develop their life purpose, so that they can discover their inner strength that allows them to achieve the proposed goals and objectives. Empathy on the other hand, is that quality that people have to recognize the other, based on their feelings and emotions. Some say that empathy allows us to put ourselves in other people's shoes. This indicates that we can understand people, their feelings without judging before actively listening to what affects them, what drives them, to move forward on the road or what paralyzes them and does not allow them to leave the zone of fear that stops them in their walk.

I always say that as human beings we are vulnerable to the environment, and finding the capacity to maintain a mental and emotional strength that allows us to be adaptable and flexible to the problems of the environment is a challenge that we must assume. Falling in adverse situations should not be seen as failures, but as learning. If we can later evaluate the whole scenario of what we live, we will find the way to achieve objectives without traumas, fears, without problems and the most beautiful thing, we will manage to enjoy this process, this is one of the reasons why the leader must be a figure of support rather than a person who imposes, because this way he will not achieve that the people who accompany him in the achievement of the goals or objectives give the best of themselves.

Self-love, emotional intelligence and the power we have when we value our fellow men and women, will be a fundamental part of the process of becoming integral professionals.

Normally universities do not include these contents in the curriculum, that is why I am doing my bit to help young people who are formed in our house of studies, and I do this because I have 22 years of service and I have had the opportunity to serve in different managerial roles, and you can not imagine how I have seen talented people, but they have problems speaking in public, to socialize ideas, they are not empathetic and that has brought the most serious problems, even that has led people to resign from their jobs.

The topic of Cooperation, is because I have seen with concern, bright students who do not support each other, and do not value cooperation, but have as a focal point the competition, and I am one of the people who think that partnerships can be cooperative advantage between the parties, so I am including it in the contents.
