Apoyo a nuestro Patrimonio Cultural || Support for our Cultural Heritage -- @ediyelly
El pasado 14 de Diciembre de 2021, en la Universidad donde trabajo, realizamos un significativo acto para brindar reconocimiento a investigadores y grupos de investigación de nuestra casa de estudios además de rendir homenaje a tres personas maravillosas que tienen toda una vida apoyando la cultura y el patrimonio cultural inmaterial del Estado Sucre.
On December 14, 2021, at the University where I work, we held a significant event to recognize researchers and research groups of our university and to pay tribute to three wonderful people who have a lifetime supporting the culture and intangible cultural heritage of the State of Sucre.
En esa oportunidad rendimos homenaje al Joropo Golpe y Estribillo Sucrense, como me dijeron que realmente se llama, yo lo conocía como Joropo Oriental, pero es importante conocer las raíces de nuestra cultura, porque es la esencia de lo que somos, de nuestro pueblo, y como tal debemos rendirle el homenaje que se merece.
On that occasion we paid tribute to the Joropo Golpe y Estribillo Sucrense, as I was told it is really called, I knew it as Joropo Oriental, but it is important to know the roots of our culture, because it is the essence of who we are, of our people, and as such we must pay it the tribute it deserves.
Mi padre es músico y toda la vida desde pequeña lo veía con ese brillo en los ojos cada vez que tomaba un cuatro, guitarra, contrabajo, cualquiera de estos instrumentos y comenzaba a tocar y cantar, con el aprendí a amar la música, el arte.
My father is a musician and all my life since I was little I saw him with that sparkle in his eyes every time he took a cuatro, guitar, double bass, any of these instruments and began to play and sing, with him I learned to love music, art.
En mi familia paterna casi todos son músicos, mi abuelo compuso canciones para Hernán Marín, uno de los cultores más reconocidos en el Estado Sucre y padrino de mi hermano.
In my paternal family almost everyone is a musician, my grandfather composed songs for Hernán Marín, one of the most renowned musicians in the State of Sucre and my brother's godfather.
En conversaciones con César Montañez quien participó magistralmente en la actividad programada y nos acompañó con la guitarra, pude entender la importancia de apoyar nuestro patrimonio cultural e inmaterial, porque es la esencia o nuestras raíces que está en peligro de extinción. Así como especies están en peligro porque las cazan o eliminan de la tierra, así está el joropo, pues me comentaba que anteriormente en las escuelas se diseñaban programas que permitían que los niños y niñas bailaran y aprendieran a tocar estas tonadas, hoy esta no es la realidad, la música urbana es la que se encuentra en cualquier espacio de nuestro Estado Sucre.
In conversations with César Montañez who masterfully participated in the programmed activity and accompanied us with the guitar, I was able to understand the importance of supporting our cultural and intangible heritage, because it is the essence or our roots that are in danger of extinction. Just as species are endangered because they are hunted or eliminated from the earth, so is the joropo, as I commented that previously in schools programs were designed that allowed children to dance and learn to play these tunes, today this is not the reality, urban music is what is found in any space in our State of Sucre.
El apoyo de los gobiernos regionales o locales es muy poco, por eso es importante que podamos mostrar todo este acervo cultural enriquecedor que nos permite conectarnos con ese mestizaje que nos caracteriza, recordemos que el venezolano es una fusión de negros, blancos e indios, y en esa mezcla esta la belleza de nuestro pueblo.
The support of regional or local governments is very little, so it is important that we can show all this enriching cultural heritage that allows us to connect with the mestizaje that characterizes us, remember that the Venezuelan is a fusion of blacks, whites and Indians, and in that mixture is the beauty of our people.
Ahora les muestro parte de la hermosa velada que tuvimos el 14 de Diciembre en la Universidad Politécnica Territorial del Oeste de Sucre “Clodosbaldo Russián”, donde participaron @esteliopadilla (mandolina), Luis González (cuatro) es mi papá, César Montañez (guitarra).
