[WE99] Weekend-Engagement: Biggest achievement
Greetings dear friends of the weekend, it is a pleasure for me to share this new commitment to which @galenkp invites us and congratulations for this achievement of almost 100 topics already on the verge of the second anniversary of the beginning of the commitment of the weekend.
And speaking then of achievements, I will tell you about one of the most important personal and professional achievements I have obtained, because achieving my degree in Systems Engineering is not only an achievement of academic and professional enrichment but also personal, my life story has been marked by the lack of economic resources, so in my entrance to the university I also had to live moments where I had no money to eat, and I remember with much humility that I was scarce even clothing to attend my classes, but never scarce to continue learning and determined to achieve what I set out to do.
While I was in college I did not have a formal job because classes and studies took up a lot of time but I sold products by catalog which helped me a lot because with that I solved many things both academic and at home, despite being short in height (1. I attended the casting and I was selected, for that activity soon after I received an assistantship at the university which helped me for transportation expenses, And for a while I was a counselor in an institution called IRFA that provides adult education at a distance and on Saturdays we met to clarify doubts, well that was the concept was not always so, I did not receive a salary, but a monetary aid to provide my support, I worked especially during the Christmas vacations in a shoe store and that helped at home for those days where consumerism was high for the season.
As a student I had many challenges, not all the subjects I like so many times I went through periods of frustration because I could not understand, until I managed to understand and could advance in this subject that prevented me from seeing other more advanced ones, this is programming I was able to succeed, But it is the part of my career that I did not like, I think that not everyone should opt for the same thing, with me I studied with guys who turned out to be good programmers, luckily my career is very broad, I suffered from stress, many times I cried until there were injustices, and I also went through moments when I thought I could not advance any further.
Fortunately and despite many things and moments when I thought I was not going to make it, I finally finished my academic load in 2010, I was very happy and immediately and thanks to my godfather I managed to enter a pipe coating company to do my internship, it had to be 6 months, I started to do my project, in that period, I finished my internship and I cooled I started to work first in a communications center then I taught in a school as an understudy, then I worked in a children's clothing store, and from there I started working in a company called Ainco that also lined pipes and the one that I felt my school there I worked in the computer area, and being in that company I restarted again my degree project, we were by 2014, for the following year 2015 I got pregnant, that trajectory my contract in the company ended and that's how I was left, unemployed, pregnant and with my degree project stalled for later.
I do not know if it happens to you, but after having my son, also going through unfortunate situations, there was something that did not let me sleep well, I woke up in the early mornings overwhelmed, stressed, I thought my son is growing I must graduate now, and that is how for 2018 I request at the Universidad de Oriente the review of my project to present my thesis and graduate, it was approved in April of that year I presented my thesis, and in December I received my degree, somehow my son was that engine, I thought was in him. Needless to say that it was satisfying for me and my mother who has lived with me all those moments, we cried with happiness when I got that longed paper that says that I Edioretza Caraballo am a System Engineer of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, although I do not practice because by that time it was more of a personal achievement and say I could finally graduate ...
