I made a comic character without an eraser. (Funny Girl)
Obviously, there are different types of comic characters but I feel I need to say this given that I didn't intend for this to look like marvel comics or DC. I feel I may never be that good, but really, who really is that good who wasn't this bad at first?
All I Know is that I have stories to tell and I needed characters to do it. So here we are.
I first started with a thumbnail of how I wanted the character to look like
I used a reference to make the drawing I got from Unsplash to avoid copyright issues.
I started with construction lines
This is the finished character, I was glad to be introduced to her too. When you are done drawing the character you can start building a story around the character.
I started working on the general mood of the character and how I wanted the illustration to look.
This is supposed to be a dinner situation. And the comic has some cute sketches in it.
This is a not-so-cute scene I was working on the mood and cute didn't fit.
The comic will switch that way... I don't want to limit my artistic abilities...I have a lot of abilities...a lot
