It is Christmas in the Heart that puts Christmas in the Air ~ W.T. Ellis
Christmas is a time we remember everything we have ever loved in our life. I pray that the coming year will find you and yours blessed with health and contentment, enlightened by wisdom that comes with age and filled with the energy to nurture the relationships you have established with those you love.
Love. Christmas is made up of love. Giving love. My best memories are rarely about the presents I receive, but, almost always centered around the people that give them. It is magical. It's the people and the inferred magic. I have to say that I believe in the magic of Christmas, for it never ceases to amaze these eyes. Good times, goodwill, please give me peace, peace in the world, just for today, and then give me peace for tomorrow. Surrounded by sounds of a beautiful song, smells of the holiday fill my home... the warmth of love wraps me up in a dream. I love this beautiful time of year. Many blessings sent your way. Now, tell me that isn't magical?
Traditions built, memories made
Wrapping my heart with a well-placed bow
Spreading our gifts
To all that we know
From the top of the tree
The softest of songs
Drift through the air
Lifting my soul
Hallelujah
The Christmas tree.
My thoughts wander as I sit across the room, my glass of wine, swirling, swirling, to unleash its flavor. I inhale the beauty of the night, letting the romantic feeling touch me. So easily I get swept up in the passion of it all - the sights, the sounds, the smells, and that warm, enchanting ambiance. I yearn to press the pause button. Stop. Reflect. Maybe even rewind back to the good parts.
Breathe Deeply
Love is what knits the Christmases of the past into a garment of memories that warms the heart. If I had but one gift to give, it would be the gift of love.
I made a few of these out of giant coffee cans and I put some special cookies in them. They are for the new neighbors that moved in last week. Government workers tend to move between semesters of school and in the summer. We have three new neighbors.
As an aside, there is 1 day, 21 hours 55 minutes and 42 seconds before Christmas! Are you ready?
There were lights tonight. We walked the neighborhood, enjoying the light show. It is always fun to see all the displays going up. Even people that went away for Christmas continued the lights in their absence.
The end! Just like that, the show is over! Come back tomorrow and we will do it again! Have a great night and Merry Christmas, almost! ❤️
All I have are my words, armed in my mind, written in pen, stand by stand. Oh, yes. Still by hand. It has a different feel. Altered not by keys, backspace, and delete, I write, erase, tear it to pieces and start all over again. And again.
It’s my way. I walk out to the deep end of the page and dive right in.
Let the spirit of love gently fill our hearts and homes. In this loveliest of seasons may you find many reasons for happiness.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas
…So he paused. And the Grinch put his hand to his ear.
And he did hear a sound rising over the snow.
It started in low. Then it started to grow.
But the sound wasn't sad! Why this sound sounded merry!
It couldn't be so! But it WAS merry! VERY!
He stared down at Whoville! The Grinch popped his eyes!
Then he shook! What he saw was a shocking surprise!
Every Who down in Whoville, the tall and the small,
Was singing! Without any presents at all!
He HADN'T stopped Christmas from coming! IT CAME!
Somehow or other, it came just the same!
And the Grinch, with his grinch-feet ice-cold in the snow,
Stood puzzling and puzzling: "How could it be so?"
"It came without ribbons! It came without tags!"
"It came without packages, boxes, or bags!"
And he puzzled three hours, till his puzzler was sore.
Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before!
"Maybe Christmas," he thought, "doesn't come from a store."
"Maybe Christmas...perhaps...means a little bit more!”…

There they are ! The painted nutcracker tins. Love those.
That is some light show going on up there. I do so love Christmas lights, tacky or classy.... I love them all.
I didn't gather them up, they are spread around the house. I leave them out all year long, tucked into different spaces. :) I know, a little odd, but, I like a touch of Christmas sometimes.
I agree! A class act or the other... I love them all! Thanks for stopping by. I don't mind saying that you have lost your verbose touch... Thankfully as I am going to bed!
Goodnight!
Thanks for the repost @pixresteemer ! Much appreciated!
A kind of beautiful grey Christmas tree 🌲🌲🌲. Lightings are just enjoyable. Overall pictures are heart touching.
That is what we call a flocked tree. It is an artificial tree and fake snow is put on it. I have it in the entryway to my house. :)
Thank you so much and have a most wonderful day!
Your house is beautifully decorated for Christmas @dswigle I could feel the Warmth of love in the contents and it melts my heart. I once wished to experience such Christmas where I have to decorate my home like that. It is rarely done in the locals here, only the rich could afford to buy Christmas trees and others.
Would you mind inviting me? Smile. I believe this Christmas is going to great at your place.
Have a fabulous Christmas in advance, it is just a day and few hours to go ☺️
Thank you. I do have fun decorating it and I think the decorations are pretty, but, honestly, it is the love that makes the holiday special.
Without this love, there would be no warmth in the Holiday. It would be worth nothing.
So, even though money can provide some nice things, if you don't have the basics, including giving your love, good health, and a nice disposition, you have nothing. Thank you for stopping by and leaving your words!
Thanks for the nice words and the well wishes. Same to you as well.
Those coffee can creations are really neat. They are really well done and look like a fun craft for the holidays.
Thank you for stopping by and leaving your wonderful words! I do love those nutcrackers! I have already started one for next year and these will have a different added feature!
Merry, Merry Christmas!
That is such a great saying
Love what you did with the coffee tins and so nice of you to make cookies for the neighbors
I love seeing the lights and decorations in peoples yard when I drive around I meant to go and get photos of some but never got to it this year
I didn't really take any good photos, but, I have been a few times with the family. It has been fun and we always go on Christmas Eve for a few minutes around the neighborhood. :) Either before church, after church. People usually leave them on all night then.
One of my dearest friends taught me how to do them one winter, years ago. I was in love with them at that time and I still am. Plus, they are fun to put cookies in. Some actually got candy. :)
That is a great tradition we need more of that in the world
Happy Christmas Eve Eve
It´s officially here! Merry Christmas, Denise! :)
Thank you so much for your wishes!!! Merry Christmas to you! It is finally the culmination of all that is Merry! Now, let us just carry this feeling into the next year!
Thank you!
Two more days to go yay! I'm glad that things has turned around for me as there is so much love around me. Hey those coffee cans are amazing. I haven't noticed that you are such a crafty artist. These are really great. Now I'm thinking what special cookies you have in them.
Haha! I am not crafty at all. I crochet and sew, and do the cans... simple things that aren't too challenging. You can trace what needs to be painted and that makes it much easier! :)
Different cookies. Thumbprint cookies and fudge, so rumballs and a Swedish cookie. Some got candy canes with it.
I am so glad things have turned around for you!
It's hard to believe that it is only that far away. It seems like it raced right up and was upon us before I even realized it. I don't think my wife will get out to look at lights this year. We drove around a bit last year, but couldn't really find anything good.
That is shocking! We always have great lights here, but, remember we were deep in COVID last year still and people just didn't go out or decorate much... My neighborhood is weird. Everyone went out of their way to make it merry for all last year because it was so dismal.
I say you go for a run tonight! :)
I would, but my nieces decided they wanted to spend the evening with us, so we are cuddling on the couch and watching movies!
That trumps anything!
My thoughts exactly as Christmas draws closer. Pause the day, to enjoy the beauty of the season...making it last longer...or forever! Hahaha.
I like your painted nutcrackers. Very creative of you.
Lovely pictures, as always.
I wish you and your family a memorable celebration. Merry Christmas!! 🎄
Thank you so much for the wonderful wishes! I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas also! I wish I could teleport you a painted nutcrackerr! You love Christmas as much as I do!
Thank you so much for the wonderful wishes! I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas also! I wish I could teleport you a painted nutcracker! You love Christmas as much as I do!
Thank you for stopping by and leaving your always wonderful words!
Oh those coffee cans are sweet. Especially well decorated with the heart on the teeth. 😀
Hey now, are you sharing the vino??? Come on now, sharing is caring 😄
They are one of the only crafty things I can manage. :) I am not very artsy, but, this I can do. The heart was thought up by my friend that showed me how to do them. Now she is brilliantly creative. I made fudge and little thumbprint cookies to go in there and some rumballs. I brought some to the neighbors already. They loved them!
I always share the wine! I can never drink the whole bottle. Sharing is caring... I have heard that one before...
Thanks for stopping by! If I don't see you again, have a Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Yeahhh!!! Just few hours and a day, left ! Sweets !:) Merry Christmas! Denise @dswigle
So wonderfully decorated, those lovely lights make their mark everywhere !
Awww...those coffee cans are so beautiful...Awesome ! Great Artwork, aesthetically done !
Cheers !!! :) :)
Thank you! Merry Christmas to you @amitsharma! I am so happy you like the coffee cans. They are fun to make!
I hope you are all ready for the Holiday!
Preparations for the Christmas festivities are complete. The people around us who are Christians look very happy. But we all celebrate Eid al-Fitr or Christmas together.
I know you celebrate Eid, but, know it is at the same time, so that works out well! Almost complete!
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!!
