Cuando somos niños todos soñamos con ser grandes y queremos tener las mismas cosas que tienen nuestros padres, cédula, tarjetas bancarias, teléfonos celulares, entre otras cosas. Yo recuerdo que cuando estaba pequeño deseaba mucho tener mi cédula, al igual que mis hermanos mayores; pero por vivir en una zona alejada de la ciudad, en un campo donde el transporte era difícil, mi padre esperaba el momento mas oportuno para llevarnos hasta la ciudad para realizar el trámite, es mas casi siempre llevaba a 2 de sus hijos a sacar la cédula, en mi caso fui junto a mi hermana Yelizabeth quien es 2 años mayor que yo y tenemos un número de cédula muy similar, así con todos mis hermanos, cada 2 tenemos diferencia solo en el último número.

Les cuento que hasta hace poco en Venezuela era muy difícil realizar este trámite, ya que las personas debíamos ir y pernoctar en las instalaciones del SAIME a realizar largas colas para lograr tomar un número para que nos atendieran, allí se presentaban vendedores de puestos, peleas, discusiones y pare de contar, la verdad era muy traumático; con decirles que para sacar la cédula por primera vez a los menores se debía acudir a la capital de mi estado a realizar este trámite, lo cual salía costoso y muchas veces se perdía el viaje, el trasnocho y el dinero, porque por cualquier eventualidad no atendían a las personas; esto era una pesadilla.

Ahora eso es cosa del pasado, han implementado un nuevo sistema, con una excelente modalidad para hacer mas fácil el obtener este documento legal; ahora se debe ingresar al sistema del SAIME de uno de los padres y allí se registra al menor a cedular, para ello hay que tener la partida de nacimiento a la mano, conocer el peso, talla y características físicas del niño, se llenan cuidadosamente los datos solicitados, por ultimo se elije el día y la hora en que se desea ser atendido, esto me pareció muy bien porque ya no es necesario perder tiempo en el trabajo, ya que elijes una fecha acorde a tu agenda.

El tiempo de espera para la cita fue de 7 días, durante ese lapso Matthias estaba muy emocionado contando los días jajajaja, también practicando su firma, pero le dije que solo debía colocar su nombre y apellido, porque por ser menor de edad aun no le permiten registrar firma, esto le quito la emoción y decidió practicar la mejor forma de que su nombre se viera increíble jajaja.

The waiting time for the appointment was 7 days, during that time Matthias was very excited counting the days hahahaha, also practicing his signature, but I told him that he should only put his name and last name, because being a minor he is still not allowed to register signature, this took away his excitement and he decided to practice the best way to make his name look amazing hahahaha.

Como anécdota les cuento que 2 días antes de sacar la cédula, mi hijo se cayo de su bicicleta y se hizo un rasguño en su ojo izquierdo, en casa no lo podíamos creer, ahora en la foto de su cédula saldría con ese recuerdo jajaja. Llego el gran día, la cita era para las 2:00 pm y decidimos ir a la 1:00pm para estar antes de la hora citada y poder hacer la cola, para nuestra sorpresa nos dijeron que la atención era puntual, así que decidimos ir a una tienda cercana a distraernos y pasar el tiempo, llegada la hora nos fuimos a la oficina del SAIME y a las 2:00pm en punto llamaron a los citados, allí entramos Matthias, mi esposa y yo.

Matthias estaba muy emocionado y asustado, le dijimos que estuviera tranquilo, era algo fácil, solo firmar, una foto y le tomarían sus huellas; fue el último en ser atendido de los citados para esa hora, porque era por primera vez y llevaba mas tiempo, sin embargo salimos aproximadamente a las 2 y 45 minutos, la atención fue muy buena y rápida, el como todo un niño grande hacia todo lo que le indicaban, se porto muy bien y me sentí muy orgulloso de el, parece que fue ayer cuando apenas era un bebé.

Matthias was very excited and scared, we told him to be calm, it was something easy, just sign, a photo and they would take his fingerprints; he was the last one to be attended of those who were scheduled for that hour, because it was the first time and it took more time, however we left at approximately 2:45 minutes, the attention was very good and fast, like a big boy he did everything that was indicated to him, he behaved very well and I felt very proud of him, it seems like it was yesterday when he was just a baby.

Al día siguiente fuimos nuevamente a retirar la cedula, el mismo hizo la cola para retirar, dio sus datos y la cara de felicidad que puso al momento en que se la entregaron no tenia precio, se sintió un niño grande, demasiado emocionado. Nos fuimos y en cuestión de 5 minutos ya sabia su numero de cédula, llamo por teléfono a su abuela materna y le dijo “te acabas de comunicar con Matthias Andrés Suárez Castro cédula de identidad 36.xxx.xxx”. Estaba muy emocionado con su cédula nueva, tanto así que llego a casa y la guardo en su cuarto, no dejo que la guardáramos ni su mamá ni yo, jajajaja.
