Desde que comenzaron las clases presenciales mi hijo Matthias a estado muy entusiasmado con las múltiples actividades e instrumentos que le han mandado a realizar, hoy en día las maestras y profesores se han visto en la necesidad de reinventar dinámicas de estudios, esto con la finalidad de lograr la atención e interés de los estudiantes luego de año y medio sin asistir a las aulas de clases; veo con gran admiración como el personal docente realiza su trabajo con mucho cariño, para afianzar el aprendizaje de nuestros pequeños. El apoyo de los padres en casa debe ser al 100%, ya que debemos trabajar de la mano con los educadores y ayudar a nuestros hijos a nivelar su educación, lograr el cumplimiento de los objetivos planteados para cada actividad; para nadie es un secreto que muchos padres no tenemos la pedagogía necesaria para educar a los niños en casa, pero si debemos hacer lo posible por ayudar.

Mi hijo mayor Matthias Andrés está cursando segundo grado de educación básica, y actualmente está trabajando con familia de palabras, en su colegio le indicaron realizar hacer un instrumento para hacer mas fácil y divertido el aprendizaje sobre este tema, su maestra les dio varias opciones de instrumentos y el escogió una ruleta de palabras, con sus respectivas fichas; buscamos ideas sobre como realizar una ruleta y escogimos un modelo, practico y muy divertido.

1 trozo de cartón piedra, mdf o compuesto (30 cm X 30 cm)
2 listones de madera de 50 cm cada uno.
5 tornillos para drywall.

Pinturas al frio, 4 colores (amarillo, azul, rojo, fucsia), escoge los colores de tu preferencia.
Juego de escuadras (regla y transportador)
1 lápiz grafito.
1 pincel.
1 marcador negro, punta gruesa.
1 trozo de lija.
1 argolla con tornillo.
8 palabras y dibujos impresos a color.

1 piece of plasterboard, mdf or composite (30 cm X 30 cm)

Procedimiento / Procedure

Construcción de la ruleta

Primeramente realizamos la circunferencia para la ruleta; para lo cual tomamos el trozo de cartón piedra o compuesto, con ayuda de la regla medimos y ubicamos el centro de la misma, tomamos un listón de madera y clavamos un clavo en el centro y otro al extremo, para realizar una especie de compás artesanal. Con el clavo del extremo marcamos la circunferencia, damos vuelta hasta lograr surcos profundos, ahora con un cortador de cuchillas cortamos el cartón; por último con un trozo de lija, lijamos bien los bordes.

First we make the circumference for the roulette; for which we take the piece of drywall or composite, with the help of the ruler we measure and locate the center of the same, we take a wooden strip and nail a nail in the center and another at the end, to make a kind of handmade compass. Seguidamente con una regla y un lápiz trazamos una línea a la mitad de la circunferencia, con ayuda del transportador dividimos como una torta en 8 partes iguales, para lo que ubicamos el transportador, marcamos 90° y 45° (por ambos lados), dividiendo así en ocho partes iguales.

Luego pintamos, primero Matthias pinto de negro la parte de atrás; al estar seca pintamos las ocho partes, acá debemos tener cuidado de no pasar las líneas marcadas, (puedes realizar la combinación de colores de tu preferencia). Dejamos secar, cuando esta seca con el marcador negro delimitamos las líneas de cada color.

Lo primero que hice fue lijar los listones de madera, seguidamente medí para realizar el soporte, para lo cual tome uno de los listones y marque a 10cm y recorte con la tronzadora 4 piezas con corte 45° por ambos extremos; también corte otra pieza para el puntero de la ruleta.

Ya con la ruleta y la base armada, solo falta unir los elementos, para lo cual utilice la argolla tornillo, solo marque la ubicación exacta en el paral y fui atornillando la argolla; cuando ya no puedas atornillar con la mano puedes ayudarte con el destornillador, colocándolo entre el agujero de la argolla, atornillamos hasta que este bien fijadas ambas piezas.

Ahora quise darle un toque mas colorido, para lo que pinte las piezas de la base y también el puntero; logrando así el acabado que buscaba.

Ya esta lista la ruleta de mi hijo Matthias, fue un trabajo de toda una tarde; pero muy amena ya que puedo ayudar a mi hijo en sus actividades y enseñarle lo poco que yo se, esto lo incentiva a realizar sus trabajos por si solo y ver que con sus manos es capaz de construir cosas increíbles.

Para las tarjetas de familia de palabras colocamos los mismos dibujos y 4 palabras derivadas, las imprimimos en cartulina y recortamos.

Ya con su instrumento listo, solo queda ir a clases a mostrarlo y explicar a todos su funcionamiento, haciendo mas divertido su aprendizaje y defensa de tema de la familia de palabras. En la palabra origen que se detenga el puntero, se debe decir su familia de palabras; luego de armar el instrumento jugamos por un rato para practicar y ver que tantas palabras podíamos decir, momentos únicos que permanecerán en la mente de mi pequeño, esto para mi es tiempo de calidad.
