Making A Somewhat Boring Shot A Little More Interesting
I have gradually developed an interest for creating content from what I have available around me.
I might not have the opportunity to go on a tour of very beautiful places, but I try to capture some beauty out of what surrounds me where I am.
I was on a video shoot one day with a client. We had shot a number of videos for online content and decided to take a pause, catch our breath and continue with shooting.
While waiting for the client to get ready for the next shots, I found this bottle with sticks inside of it. I didn't know what it was, but it looked aesthetically pleasing to the eyes on the shelf where it was placed... I later got to know it was a reed diffuser, whatever that means🤨.
I took it off where it was placed and put it on a chair. I pointed my camera towards it and it looked a little interesting with the available light there. I made sure to shoot in RAW so I can extract as much information during editing.
It wasn't exactly a planned shots, but I took the pictures nevertheless at angled positions, then I took them to Lightroom on my smartphone to see what I could create from the images.
I made some adjustments to control the highlights especially and slapped some LUTS on it and this was what I mustered out of the images.
Do have a wonderful week full of light and the magic of the life that surrounds us.
