Taking up a childhood hobby again - WE 79

I have had many hobbies during my life, for many years I used sport as a hobby, I would always get together with my friends and we would invent something to do, and we would always end up playing football in the street, other times we would go and play basketball, which was one of my favourites or we would just put a net in the middle of the street and play volleyball, It was always sport, but then I had an accident on a motorbike and broke my femur, after a negligent operation I had a problem and my leg was reduced by 3 centimetres, which made it impossible for me to play sports again because I can't run.

After that I decided to go back to drawing, it was an activity I did as a child and I loved it, I never studied drawing or anything like that, I always did it for myself and my taste to take a pencil and start drawing, however, I have never liked colouring, let's say I don't have the eye to add colour, however, it doesn't mean I won't try it, so the question of the week fits perfectly to this new activity that I am dedicating time to.

I have been doing this for the last two weeks when I went shopping with my wife and daughter and decided to buy some boxes of coloured pencils and a drawing pad, after that I started to draw, trying to remember how I did it when I was young, my first attempts were unsuccessful, then in the last two weeks I managed to finish two drawings and, although they were not perfect, I found them a good start and a healthy and pleasurable activity.

It is still not an activity that I do every day, because between work and taking care of my daughter and wife, I have very little time left, but I am dedicating a little time every weekend, although I use this one to rest, since the Coronavirus hit us at home and we are still going through the symptoms, but although I do not take a pencil if I try to learn with YouTube content, I know that as I practice I will improve and my drawings will be of better quality and although I have only two I have already shared them here on the platform if you would like to watch them.

Another hobby that I would like to learn, would be photography, apart from drawing I have always been intrigued to learn how to take good photographs and I know that maybe next year I will buy a camera and do a course, I know that I will manage to do it, as it is on my list of pending for next year, For the time being I will continue learning about drawing to perhaps soon show you the realism that is what most attracts my attention in this type of art, I am currently practicing with the cheap coloured pencils that I bought, waiting for a box of Prismacolor Premier that I ordered from Amazon, to be able to dedicate myself fully in every free moment.
