La batalla por ofrecer el mejor servicio de fibra optica en maracaibo (ESP/ENG)

Hace más de un mes decidí cambiar de servicio de internet, no tenía problemas con el que mi servicio en ese momento, todo perfecto, pero de repente un día baje las escaleras de casa y en el portón encontré un folleto de otra empresa, esta ofrecía más por menos, no le preste mucha atención, pero ese mismo día en horas de la tarde de camino a casa pare a comprar un dulce para mi esposa y en la esquina había un toldo con unas chicas de la empresa que repartió los folletos y decidí acercarme.

More than a month ago I decided to change my internet service, I had no problems with my service at that time, everything was perfect, but suddenly one day I went downstairs and at the gate I found a brochure of another company, this one offered more for less, I did not pay much attention, but that same day in the afternoon on my way home I stopped to buy a candy for my wife and at the corner there was a canopy with some girls from the company that handed out the brochures and I decided to approach.

Lo primero que vi al acercarme fue un gran televisor con un partido de futbol y me quede loco de lo bien que se veía el partido y la resolución, ciertamente esta es una empresa de televisión por cable, que ahora distribuía internet por fibra óptica, luego de una charla extensa por parte de la promotora que me atendió en ese momento, tratando de meterme el servicio por los ojos, plasmando en palabras cada beneficio que tendría si me cambiaba con ellos, cosa que no me convencía mucho, por lo menos con la parte de la conexión a internet, ya que anteriormente había escuchado de personas decir que el servicio de internet de esa compañía era malo, por supuesto que en el stand hicieron pruebas de velocidad de conexión, me parecía excelente, pero todavía no me convencían con ese apartado, solo llamaba mi atención el servicio de televisión por cable, luego de un rato me dieron una tarjeta de contacto y luego de todo este intento de venderme el producto, me dieron en la tecla, el precio, simplemente al escuchar el monto no podía creerlo.

Me regresé a casa pensativo, no tomaría una decisión tan a la ligera, como mencione, la empresa que tenía contratada para el servicio de fibra óptica, es excelente, no lo puedo negar, y su promesa del Ultra Low Latency en videojuegos era lo mejor, siempre que jugaba League of Legends o World of Warcraft siempre tenía latencia muy baja casi en 30 ms, aunque poco tiempo tenía para jugar, con estos pagaba 20 $ al mes por un servicio de 100 MB de conexión ilimitado al mes, nunca tuve problemas, pero sabía que el servicio de atención al cliente no es el mejor, aunque tampoco es que fallara mucho.

Esta otra empresa, me ofrecía 600 MB de conexión por fibra óptica, muchos canales HD, incluyendo los HBO y lo mejor de la oferta era su promoción, al cambiar de mi servicio actual con ellos, conservando ellos mis equipos de fibra, la instalación era totalmente gratis y quedaría pagando 10 $ al mes por 12 meses, que barato, eso pensé, pero nada de esto me convencía en su totalidad, días después decidí contactar a la chica y le pregunte si aún estaba la promoción, le dije que estaba dispuesto a cambiarme con ellos, busque los equipos de fibra óptica que tenía en mi anterior casa y los espere, al día siguiente aparecieron los instaladores luego de un par de horas ya tenían todo listo, cuando me pidieron los equipos del otro servicio saque los viejos y se los entregue, no iba a instalar este servicio y desconectar el otro sin saber en qué me metía así que decidí probar por unos días, por supuesto conservando la instalación de Airtek de respaldo.

This other company, offered me 600 MB of fiber optic connection, many HD channels, including HBO and the best of the offer was their promotion, when changing from my current service with them, keeping my fiber equipment, the installation was totally free and I would be paying 10 $ a month for 12 months, how cheap, I thought, but none of this convinced me completely, days later I decided to contact the girl and asked her if the promotion was still available, I told her that I was willing to switch to them, I looked for the fiber optic equipment that I had in my previous house and waited for them, the next day the installers showed up and after a couple of hours they had everything ready, when they asked me for the equipment of the other service I took out the old ones and gave them to them, I was not going to install this service and disconnect the other one without knowing what I was getting into so I decided to try it for a few days, of course keeping the Airtek installation as a backup.

Hace unos días, retire mi servicio con la empresa de Airtek, luego de tener un mes probando el servicio con Inter he quedado totalmente satisfecho, no he podido probar la conexión de 600 MB, no tengo un buen router gigabits y el puerto de mi computador es solo de 10/100, así que tengo estos limitantes, los celulares que tenemos en casa mi esposa y yo tampoco son de gama alta, así que ni modo, de igual modo tenemos la misma cantidad de conexión de internet que teníamos con Airtek, por lo menos hasta que pueda actualizar el router y la tarjeta de red del computador, pero estamos más que satisfechos, pienso que 100 MB es más que suficiente para nosotros, ya que no tenemos tantos equipos conectados y nos va todo perfectamente.

A few days ago, I withdrew my service with Airtek, after having a month testing the service with Inter I have been totally satisfied, I have not been able to test the 600 MB connection, I do not have a good gigabit router and the port of my computer is only 10/100, so I have these limitations, the cell phones that my wife and I have at home are not high end either, so no way, we still have the same amount of internet connection that we had with Airtek, at least until I can upgrade the router and the computer network card, but we are more than satisfied, I think that 100 MB is more than enough for us, since we don't have so many computers connected and everything works perfectly.

Con respecto a los juegos en línea, resulto también excelente, conexión rápida con latencias bajas que era lo importante para mí, las descargas también eficientes y con los limitantes de los servidores de descarga, el servicio de streaming ni se diga, todos estos temas que quería probar antes de tomar la decisión de cambiar de proveedor, me dieron resultados suficientemente buenos para dar el salto y cambiarme.

With respect to online gaming, it was also excellent, fast connection with low latencies, which was important to me, the downloads were also efficient and with the limitations of the download servers, the streaming service is nothing to say, all these issues that I wanted to test before making the decision to change provider, gave me good enough results to take the leap and change.

He leído en Twitter muchas quejas de personas con el servicio, pero luego de investigar son personas de otros estados quienes tienen estos problemas, pero de igual forma sucedía con Airtek, depende mucho del estado, por suerte soy de Maracaibo y es acá donde radica toda conexión por fibra óptica en mi país, tenemos una velocidad de conexión bastante estable y con muy pocas caídas, me siento contento con mi cambio, aun más sabiendo que tendré un ahorro en servicio de televisión e internet de 300 $ por un año, pues mejor, esto demuestra que mientras más competencias de mercado existan es mejor, por supuesto que no todos los servicios son buenos, y otros las caídas son tan frecuentes, pero por mi parte hasta ahora todo bien, no tengo quejas de ninguna clase y me siento muy satisfecho con mi decisión de cambiar.
