Tiny Crochet Bag For my Niece.

#needlework
Hello everyone,it’s Wednesday!!! I hope you had a really lovely and productive day because I sure did. . Today I will be sharing this mini bag with you and trust me there’s a good story behind it.

So earlier this afternoon I wanted to make an EarPod case for my EarPods because it started having tiny scratches on the body.

That explains why the EarPod is what I used for measurement.

I did a few rows and trust me I was so excited I was getting a new case because I lost the old one I made.

I used 4 strands of yarn to do this with a 5.0mm hook and single crochet stitch. I made the base. And started working the body. I was almost done with it when I remembered I owed my three year old niece a tiny bag.

Hear me out, I can explain. Since I started crocheting my niece has had tons and tons of mini bags and I’m not even exaggerating.

If she ever gets any type of obsession for crochet bags I’ll take full responsibility.

The way it started out is, when I was learning yeah I would love to try out new patterns but I mostly had scrap yarn.

So what I used to do is try out these designs in tiny sizes and I’ll convert it to a bag for her and she would always jump in excitement whenever I go to visit and I have a tiny bag in hand she’ll just know that yeah this one is mine.

And today as I was making this when I switched it to a tiny bag the idea was something she can easily put her candy or money inside and it won’t fall out easily then it was be almost weightless.

The other bags I made are bigger thus they can contain more so if she just wants sweets carrying a big bag is somewhat excessive.

When I was making this I was smiling because I was like yeah that was not the initial plan but I love how it’s coming out tho.

When I finished the body I made chains for the strap and made it thicker by making a row of slip stitches. Then I made top stitches round the top of the bag.

I switched to a smaller hook and made a top stitch with a different color round the row before the last. And decided to make a random but not so random design on the front.

I can’t wait to give it to her and honestly I hope she likes it like she did the rest.

I’ll soon make a post about the bags I made for her and hopefully she’ll be my muse for the pictures too.

Hell of a skill. I used to crochet when I was a kid (one of my mum's ways of fixing my concentration issues!) but I just made about 20km of straight lines lol. Never learnt to make any shapes let alone style like your skirt in the previous post

It's really beautiful! I'm sure she'll love it. You gave me an idea for a new project, let's see how it turns out.
