My First Crochet mesh Scarf
#needlework
Hello my fellow needle workers, how is your weekend going? I had a pretty fun weekend and today I want to share this scarf here. (My first time making this pattern actually).
A Client reached out to say he wanted 3 scarves for a shoot. (Before this final text and agreement he texted me weeks before and said he wanted to order for something but he has to finish it up before doing something else).
Was actually surprised that he came back because a lot of clients have said that to me AND they never came back so I was very shocked when I saw his text pop up on my device. He was really straight forward me and we finished processing his order almost immediately
This is my first time getting an order for a scarf and this time it was three. Felt really nice though since I was really looking forward to making this pattern. I had to go yarn shopping because of the multiple colors I needed for the charms on each of the scarves.
Sowhen i started making this i won't lie it was way harder than i thought it would be easy and quick but that's the opposite of what I had experienced. Making the mesh stitches consumed a lot of yarn and I really did not expect it to do that. Took a whole lot of time[ which was weirdly surprising] after making each body for the scarf.
I had to start making the charms and this is where the real work began. I had to watch a tutorial on how to make crochet heart shapes because before then i had never made any heart shapes before [.as odd as that may sound it's true, i rarely get to adorn projects at all and this one got me really excited]
To an extent I was thinking the tutorial would give me issues since I did not understand how it would be made. Took me a few minutes and I understood it very well and got to making multiple multicolored heart shapes. This got tiring at some point. I had to take a break a few times and when I finally finished I had to attach it to all 3 scarfs and this was more fun than making the charms even.
Now it was left with trimming the edges and the yarns sticking out of them too this was a long and not so fun process i was scared of trimming the shapes wrong and then it'll loosen and i would have to redo the whole process making and attaching process but i was successful so nothing to worry about people [hahahahahahahahahaha]
Last thing was to send pictures to the client and he said he liked the colors I picked for the charms and was really keen on knowing when he would get it that he could not wait to rock them.
Things i used
*3.5 mm hook for the body
*1.5 mm hook for the charms
*scissors
*stitch marker
Ps: the pictures used here belong to me and were taken with my mobile phone.
It was a real challenge my friend, the good thing was that you were able to do it, and they were very nice with the hearts decoration.
Thank you so much. Thank you for your support. I’m glad you like the heart shapes
It was very nice your choice of embellishments...it's not common to see this in the works so it's definitely unique. I'm sure your client will love it. Congrats 💕
Thsnk you so much. This means a lot.

The good thing about crocheting is when your clients receive the pictures and really get excited, you also get excited too.
I’m glad you were able to achieve your goal even though it got tiring at a point.

I love the fact that it is in black color and beautiful, doing things like this must be time taking. kudos
I don’t think on a normal it would tho. But since it’s first time I was bound to feel that way
