My Biggest Idea Ever

At some point a human being has to learn to let put some steam so he himself can breathe in some air.

That sounds funny, I know. A few months ago I got the idea to host a fashion show in my city. I think that was February or March, I know I got the idea loud and clear but in my head I was like “where in God's name do I get the funding for such an event” and I ditched it and honestly I've never been taunted by an idea this much.

After a few months I forgot about it only to dream of it. Which is weird and also a funny way to prove its point of you ask me 😅😅😅😅 so I got back to it and I said to myself “anyhow we are going to run this thing we'll run it. And I was seriously in for a lot.

This is me airing something that has been on my mind for a long time. Basically this will be a fashion show for slow fashion, which includes crochet. Knitting , beading, embroidery, tie and dye and the likes. My ideas was to educate about slow fashion while showing that it can be very versatile and sustainable. So you can rock your personal aesthetic in quality.

Picked a day for the event may next year and the year is almost over and we don't have up to 10% of the funding.

I got to planning meeting sponsors, reaching out to designers and to no avail. This is all taking a bad effect on me mentally and I know. But I already made up my mind to see it through. I even put together a team fork the research part. The graphics designer recently asked me yesterday if how do I intend to pull it off I was like “even if its to write on my blog I'll figure it out”

I honestly wasn't joking. I had the idea and I ditched it but it still found its way back to me. I don't want to ditch it again. I've never seen a thing like that in Nigeria and just the event coming to pass would be so great for me.

Might seem like a far fetched dream and yes I know but most dreams are usually that way. Is it hard? Yes. Do I feel like giving up? Yes, literally everytime i look at the budget and realize it's 15 million naira and I barely have N200k in my account. Do I think I'm being delusional? Yes but then who cares.

This is very different from all my posts. This is just me expressing what's in my head just the way it is in my head.
