Crochet Ski Mask

Hi there everyone. Welcome to today's episode of … drumroll please…”what did Doreen make “ today's piece is a balaclava or ski mask, I dunno which Is the general term. I made this ski mask for a client

I just got the order randomly and the inspo she sent was knit. I had to take my time and explain to her that knitwear is different from crochet and also sent her a crochet inspo to be sure that she understood how it'll come out and I won't get any “What I ordered vs what I got” post dragging me.

Some might think this entire process is a bit extreme but from my experience clarification is necessary. I've had countless issues with clients because of this whole duplicating knit wear to crochet.

Not that I didn't explain it to them. I did. But then I still got blamed in the end for not making what they ordered even after I said severally that I make crochet clothing and not knitwear. So this particular explanation and picture references were definitely important before she made payment and I'll be bound to deliver.

Anyways we finally got over that process and she agreed to the duplicated look and we went straight to process that order.
For the first time in a long time she's the most stress free client I've gotten. And no I'm not saying my clients are problematic but most times it can be a lot to deal with.

After she placed her order she checked in on us a week after to see the progress and then when her delivery date came she wasn't in town. She literally sent a long message explaining why she couldn't come in to pick it up and that I shouldn't worry that she'll let me know when she's in town that I should just hold on to the ski mask for now.

She called days after that she was back in town. If I could send it to her at a given time. She dropped location and all and that went very smoothly. For most of you here this might seem like a totally normal behavior for a regular human being to have but when you're a business person or you're in tge position to see different kinds of people on a daily basis you'll realize that these sets of humans are precious and I'm not even exaggerating.

Making her order was as lovely as getting it. I haven't gotten a balaclava or ski mask order in a while so I definitely needed time to adjust but it came out nice and I'm definitely happy I could make it for her the way I told her I would.

I'm here patiently waiting for a review and I'm praying she comes in for another order. That whole process was amazing and she was definitely a lovely client to work with.

I would need one like this now that I'm at the end of the world and it's 5°C haha. I'm glad your client liked it, that's the most important thing ❤️.
