CROCHET PATCH SKIRT || WIP

The past few weeks have been a lot for me. Had to stay off here for a while and I kid you not mental stress ca n heavily impact how you go about your day to day activities and in some can actually pull you away from it. Depends on the magnitudes though.

So a few weeks ago a family member has a medical emergency (I can't disclose who and what because of confidentiality) but being the youngest I was automatically the caretaker.
As funny as it may sound, my head has not quite been the same since. But this is me showing up here and honestly sunny when next I'll be able to do this but I want to make it fun.

So an update on the squares I was making yeah. I Finally got to finish tge whites. Like all the patterns I wanted for it and I went on to tge blacks. Started running out of yarn so I got an idea to start joining the ones I've already made so when I get the new yarn I can get to work on the rest of the black squares. I had to draft out how I was going to join each row on my notebook and honestly I'm so excited to see the outcome of this skirt.
I had trouble with joining the flower stitches at first because it was the first time I ever did it. And I wasn't just joining it to a similar patch, I was joining most of them to entirely different stitches. I did have to loosen and redo but I think I got the smooth look in the end so I went on with making the rest like that and I got them coming out looking niceeeeee

Went on to the second row and I really used the patience from the Lord when gaining the black parts. My glasses weren't close by so it was basically squinting 4.0 😅😅😅 anyways I got it done and was busy smiling like I had a lottery because arrrrrrghhhhhhh joining 18 squares. My patience was honestly from the Lord. Plus constantly looking at the chart so I don't joining what's not supposed to be there

I'll share the pictures of my progress so far and also my tiny little chart. I hope it'll be clear to you all because it is indeed tiny. It was rush work. Honestly, I'm so happy that I'm getting to make my outfit so early so I can tweak and turn wherever till it ends up how I love it and I literally have a whole month to do so.
I also need advice on fits for a fashion show. Incase I add another.

Things I used to make this squares and patterns for the skirt :
4.0 mm hook for squares and cables
3.0 for flower stitch
Stitch markers
6 40g yarns [ allblack ]
Scissors
Measurement tape
