Beading For The First Time In Years

hi everyone i had a really fun day today i guess. So i have never mentioned this yeah but my mom is a fashion designer and i kind of think that is where i get the whole designing thing from.

I basically grew up watching her mend our dresses if she didnt like how it was made then sew our uniforms too and a whole lot of things she used to love doing with threads and needles.

After a whole lot of year i guess she finally got the motivation to go learn fashion designing and it has been going well for me, i got to pick up skills for free lol and I know how to sew a few things too so it's a win-win for myself and my mom.

So back to the present day. my mom got an order for a dress and the client said she wanted to wear it to wear it for her child's dedication and it was kind of an urgent job so i got pulled into it naturally.

My mom came to my door early this morning and was like ‘i need your help with this dress’ at that moment i was like oh nooooooo in my head,lol.

i love my mom but i hate beading big occasion clothes not like i hate it but i know its something that usually takes lon hours and yes i know that I am a crocheter and i work for long hours but beads are just so tiny and its just a whole lot of work.

Funny fact is that i have not tried beading in years so doing it all of a sudden on an urgent job just felt a bit too wild for me.

Anyways i got to setting the table then taking out the beads and fabric ill be working with and i had to thread a lot of needles before i start so i wont have to pause in the middle of work just to thread a needle.I went straight to laying the bead on the edge of the bra cup because my job was to adorn the bra cups of the outfit.

When i finished with the borders i went straight to sewing the adorned part of the fabric on the bra cup and this took quite some time to finish and i had to bead the parts of the fabric that were left open and it was a whole lot of work.

I had trouble with seeing at some point because of how the reflections were in my eye the whole time. Besides i feel like i did a good job on this cup judging from how long ive been away from anything tailoring or anything related,

and yes mommy came back and she loved it so much and tols me that the cup looks nice and that she was happy i was home when she came to ask me to help, anyways i will update you all on what the client says but yesh thank you for reading through. xoxo.
