Another Character "hopped" onto my page: Lucy Lopear
Lucy Lopear loved her garden. You'd find her there most days, even in the dead of Winter. Tho, today, was late Spring that magical time when early flowers brave chilly evenings. Lucy, like them, braved chilly mornings with a hot pot of tea.
When Lucy finished her morning tea, she'd fill the pot to the brim, leaving the tea leaves in, and go out and feet it to her garden. "I'm giving them their morning brew" she'd say to no one, for Lucy lived quite alone and happy with only her plants to please her.
Lucy Lopear in sketch form.
As I said yesterday, I'm rather loving the rough charcoal pencil outlines and have been forgoing the digital inking I usually do.
I'm not too worried about weaving the stories of each character together, as I had begun to feel, thus it seems more freeing. I'm excited to create them again and their stories swim about in my head as I create them and not feeling the 'pressure' to fit it into an overall story has made me love it again. So, I've no idea if these characters will ever be a story, but I'm making them from love and joy and to me that is story enough.

Thank you for joining me today and taking a gander at my latest little character. I hope she "Hopped" into your heart. I'm not sure why I've not made that pun as of yet, but I suppose I've used it up now haha.
I hope you find a moment in your day to indulge in your own passions.
