Siamese Cat with Canton Vase

We've had family out again for the last hurrah of the season. The house was filled with family and laughter and we watched the white caps and the Autumn sun and now the house is quiet.

I love our house this time of year, it'll be all ours now until next Summer.

So, I didn't get another of my Animal Character Study and Story done, but I did finish up a digital oil I'd been working on.

Here is the rough sketch.

This particular piece is a start of a new series Sort OF as I've done other illustration/water color pieces in my Blue and White china series. however, I'm doing a series of 7 pieces with animals with blue and white china. It will be for sale, but a limited edition of them is going to a friend who sort of commissioned me to do it, tho I don't normally take commissions, but since I knew I'd keep a copy for one wall of my house that I've been wanting more 'blue and white' pottery in, this way I can use them as well.

I'll most likely be back with another character in my series come next post, as I've skethed out a couple already. Happy to get back into the studio a bit more, tho Family is still about for this week before finally heading off, so it will be 'stolen time' for now.
