A monkey with a robot hand? Singularity sketch

Our little friend is holding a robotic hand

What could he be up to?

He seems to also be holding mi'ladies fan

who could his lady be?

We shall have to wait and see
for now I give you a rough sketch and digital watercolor wash of a monkey wearing pearls, holding a fan and the hand of a robot. All shall be revealed...

Really I just wanted to share this bit of this sketch I took back out last night and was sketching and playing with this morning. It is a part of a larger piece in my Singularity series so I've been messing about with these sketches for some time.

I will most likely do the final piece in digital oils. I'm actually , currently, working on this little fellow in oils as well and I think he might become a stand alone piece, as I'm having such fun painting him out with just the land and the little fan in his hand, that I rather like the mystery of it as a little painting of a monkey holding a robot's hand.
