Naomi Cowman -Star Girl Mixtape ( Presented by Walshy Fire)
Here is a fantastic mixtpape by a female Jamaican artiste, Naomi Cowman. She is no stranger to the music as her father Tommy Cowan is a producer/ song writer and former road manager for the legend himself, Bob Marley. Her mother, Carlene Davis-Cowman, is also a musician in the form of an international vocalist.
Naomi has a familiar but unique voice and her musical skills don’t stop at vocals as she plays the piano and acoustic guitar. I came across her mixtape 📼 on Spotify, but on the platform it is more like an EP as it is not quite the same the mixtape hosted by Walshy Fire of Major Lazer in July of 2021. That can be found below.
While all the hype is around the x-rated Dacehall female artiste at the moment /usually, Naomi is staying in her lane ad building feel good Reggae, Dancehall along with international hints of HipHop and R&B. I must say her content and vibe was a breath of fresh Caribbean Sea breeze. You can play this mixtape for anyone, anywhere and I’m sure they will catch a vibe.
I am sure Naomi Cowman will have longevity in the Reggae Arena as her songs have the appeal and so does she. The former miss teen JA is philanthropist working with foundations in Jamaica and Canada and she is a sort after figure for high profile organizations such as the Bob Marley Foundation and the Minister of Education in Jamaica.

Clear precise and overall pleasant singing voice. Let's hope she sticks to her own unique style. Giving me some Alicia Keys vibes, especially this picture.
That’s exactly what I though, she looks at sounds like Alicia keys, just a reggae version. In a few years she will be well polished with a massive hit I can imagine.
Ah... I thought it sounded soulful and familiar. Definitely a fresh voice.
Yeah man, I love her voice, no slackness either 😄
Always watch out/be aware of so called philanthropists...😅

Ok, cool😉
I agree. Her voice is welcoming and she also has some soul in that voice. I think she can transition from genre if she wanted to.
Yeah, she could dive into R&B and Jazz if she wanted but it seems she will be mixing it up as she hinted through the mixtape!
Mixing sounds like a good idea and whatever she'll do it'll sound good.
