Contents Creative Sunday: Flan de banana with dried fruits and nuts -Recipe-



Today I join the Creative Sunday initiative and I want to share once again with all of you in this wonderful community. This time I bring you a simple, economical and very tasty recipe: a dessert called flan de cambur. This delicious dessert is not only easy to prepare, but the addition of nuts, such as peanuts and raisins, adds a crunchy touch and an extra flavor that perfectly complements the soft texture of the flan. The recipe is simple and quick; the inclusion of ingredients such as these two nuts adds a contrast of flavors and textures that elevates the flan to another level. Ideal for this creative Sunday or any occasion when you want to prepare a quick dessert.


Without further ado, here are the ingredients and the step-by-step:


For the flan:

-4 bananas
-3 eggs
-1 cup of sugar
-1 cup of liquid milk

For the caramel:

-1/2 cup sugar
-1/2 cup water

For more flavor:

-25 grams of chopped unsalted peanuts
-25 grams of raisins


𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝕊𝕖𝕡𝕥 𝕓𝕪 𝕤𝕥𝕖𝕡:


  • To start the preparation, we will remove the peel from each banana, take it to a plate and with the help of a fork, mash it into a puree.

  • Then add the eggs and combine these two ingredients very well.

  • In the previous mixture, sift the wheat flour together with the baking powder and add it little by little.


  • We transfer these two already blended ingredients to the blender beaker and mix them in order to avoid lumps. Next, add the cup of liquid milk together with the sugar, shake the blender on high until well combined. Set aside.

  • Now we are going to make the caramel, add the sugar in the pan, take it to the stove and let it cook and turn a golden color. When it has taken this color, add the cup of water and stir until it is completely diluted.

  • We take the baking pan and carefully add the caramel, spreading it very well on the bottom and all its surroundings.

  • Serve the mixture in the pot with the caramel.


  • Before putting the flan in the oven, add the nuts: peanuts and raisins, cover with aluminum foil and put it in the oven, previously turned on at 180 °C, for about 1 hour. Depending on the oven, we must be very attentive and check every so often. We can also insert a toothpick in the center of the flan and if it comes out clean, it is ready.


  • After the time, which lasted exactly one hour in the oven, we let it cool and unmold our delicious banana flan with nuts.




    • Our banana flan with nuts is ready! We enjoy this delicious dessert for the meridenda of this creative Sunday afternoon.
