How to sign up: Step by Step

Splinterlands is a digital collectible card game that has been gaining popularity in the blockchain gaming space. With the ability to play for free and the potential to earn rewards, many players are looking to join the community. In addition to my recent post Join the Splinterlands Community Today!, i will guide you today through the free sign up process i mentioned there. Quick and Easy.

From no Account to Battle Ready.

Join Splinterlands - Create your Account

We start with the obvious step, we create our own Splinterlands Account.
Just follow the link, you will get right into it.

You will be welcomed with joy from the "SPIRIT OF THE FOREST". She will offer you the option to start a tutorial. If you are completely new to card games, you should definitely check that out. ---

Now we want our own nickname, that we can choose with buying the spellbook. And we know from my last post, Wasder App comes in now.

Wasder App x Splinterlands

The Wasder App is a social gaming platform that allows users to connect, share experiences, and find people to play with. It is also the platform for an exciting collaboration with Splinterlands that allows users to receive a free code to play the game. In this step, we will go through the process how to sign up for the Wasder App and claim your free code for Splinterlands.

The sign up for the App is not hard at all. You join, pick your nickname and your handle. (Dont forget to pick a password). After these small steps, you start at the "Home" - screen, where you can now find new games you want to follow. In our case, we want to follow "Splinterlands".

Since Splinterlands is featured in their (Wasder) current seasonpass, you wont miss it. You can either follow the steps explained from Wasder or click on Splinterlands and scroll down a bit till you find the "Claim now!" (shown in the screenshot) to redeem your spellbook code.
This can now take some time, but you will get a mail with the spellbook code.

(My friend used this code already, but still, i blurred it.)

Claim your Spellbook

After you received the mail from Wasder, with your code for the spellbook. You are going to claim it and be one step closer. You find the option to buy the spellbook in your shop or battle screen.

Choose the option "code", put in the code you received from Wasder, and then you are ready to play and earn. But i will guide you further to get you even a deck to play with.

Get your Keys

While you purchased the spellbook and choose your nickname, a HIVE blockchain account (with the same name as your nickname) was created for you. So now we get you your keys for your HIVE account. This is because certain keys are required for all actions on the blockchain, such as buying/selling cards, claiming rewards and so on.

Our goal today is to rent a deck, so we need the keys for that, let's proceed to the next step.

We are on the splinterlands page, and click on the top right. There will be the option to request your account keys. Go for it, and you will get a mail that includes a link to redirect you to a window where you are required to put in your splinterlands account password.
After you put in your password, your keys will be displayed, make sure to SAVE THEM.
You now have also the option to tell splinterlands to delete the keys, so you are the only one who knows them.

Manage your Keys with Hive Keychain

As already mentioned, actions on the blockchain require certain keys.If you're looking for a secure and user-friendly way to manage your Hive account, then Hive Keychain is definitely worth checking out. With this browser extension, you can securely manage your account keys, transfer funds, and interact on the Hive blockchain. Hive Keychain makes it easy to sign in to your account with just one click, without having to enter your private keys manually.

After you installed your Hive Keychain,
you can now add your account. At start i would recommend you to only use your "posting key" for now. After you learned more, you can add other keys for convenience too.

Starter Decks with NFTy Arcade

Our last step, then we are full set up, save and ready to battle and that completely for free.
We create an account for NFTy Arcade.
There we will add our splinterlands account, and allow it to use the posting key. (Actions with the NFTy Arcade Gateway are easier if you do so.)

Adding your account can be done on the left hand side, "Accounts -> Track New Account".

The final step in the last step, go into "Market -> Reward Share", and explore some decks. You can view them by simply clicking "View Details". If you found a deck that fits you, go to "View Details" again, scroll down, choose your account, and request.

If your request was successful, you will get a green pop up on the right side. You will now have access to the cards.
