I don't know which I like more, the birds or the tree. Id love to have a garden big enough for some of those trees.

Thank you and yes, our garden is also too small to plant yet another tree.
They cannot be planted near walls as their roots will crack the walls, but they are indeed beautiful trees.
I saw this morning that a line of them were planted at Denel (Paardevlei) and will watch them growing.
I hope the ones they planted at Paardevlei is different colors. I hear there is also an awesome pink one.
Nope, they are all the scarlet reds.
I haven't yet seen any of the other colors here.
In Paradyskloof in Stellenbosch there are one or two orange ones. The only pink one I ever heard of is in Pretoria.
I read that it is very easy to plant them, but yes, one would need a big garden.
Never seen the other colors.
