Don't push it, don't work hard, work smart

The world is changing rapidly with a lot of smart device everywhere to improve work efficiency and also reduce stress to mankind.

Why will you take the long cut, when there is a short cut?
This is where i derived today's post from, don't work hard, work smart.

I was sitting beside the window side in my room, looking at these 3 dry cleaners (laundry men) in my street. One had a washing machine while the other two had none.

The one with the washing machine tends to attend to more customers each day then the other two, because he takes care of the washing faster and without stress. On seeing this, the other two grew envious of the privileged guy and decided to merge as one, combine efforts just to beat the first guy. But even with their combined efforts, the first guy was still faster than them. He made more money and attended to more customers than the two merged laundry men.

Later, the two realised that even with them merging, they were not able to outshine the other guy. But why is this??

The other guy applied the "don't work hard, work smart" principle. He knew that a washing machine would ease stress, so he bought it and it has helped him in great ways.

But the other two guys who were working very hard to the extent that they have to merge to achieve one goal still didn't meet up to the smart worker.

Now this is one benefit of working smart.
When you work smart, you realise the simplest means/way to get things done and you do them. That's smartness.

But when you try to take care of everything yourself, without help from external body. You are working hard.

You tend to get tired easily when you work hard, hence, low work efficiency. But when you work smart, you get a lot of jobs done because the stress is greatly reduced.
