No escribas esto:

"Las personas en la calle lo miraban raro. No sabían que él estaba muy alegre porque lo habían ascendido esa misma mañana."

En cambio, escríbelo así:

"Soltó una risotada en plena calle. Agarró por la cintura a la primera desconocida que se encontró y la besó en la boca.
- ¡Atrevido! - gritó ella.
- ¡Es mío, me dieron el trabajo! - respondió, y se alejó como si nada ante las miradas de la gente."

No escribas esto:

"Llegó excitado del trabajo. En la cocina su mujer fregaba los platos, vestida con esa bata de casa que hasta ese día le había parecido corriente. Pero pensó que se veía muy sensual, y él se sentía cachondo. Así que decidió que harían el amor."

En cambio, escríbelo así:

"Fue corriendo a la cocina y tiró el maletín del trabajo encima de los platos sucios. Su mujer se apartó de un sobresalto, pero él la detuvo y le llenó de espuma el cuello y los senos por encima de la bata de casa. Lo hicieron allí mismo."

Los adjetivos que indican estado de ánimo:

• alegre.
• excitado

Los sustituí por acciones concretas:

• soltó una risotada en plena calle.
• le llenó de espuma el cuello y los senos.

Guillermo del Toro también explica que no se deben usar descripciones subjetivas, abstractas o ambiguas, sino acciones, claras y comprobables.

Un guión no es una obra literaria.

Un guión es un documento que sirve para planificar y ejecutar una película, mientras que una obra literaria es una creación artística que se expresa mediante la palabra escrita.

Un guión no pretende ser leído, sino visto y escuchado, por lo que se basa en la acción, el movimiento y el diálogo, y no en la imaginación, la narración o la descripción.

¿Y eso, qué tiene que ver con el guión de los videos de mi negocio?

• Que no necesitas escribir signos de puntuación, comillas o paréntesis.
• Que no tienes que escribir metáforas, comparaciones o personificaciones.
• Que no te concentres en escribir adjetivos elegantes, adverbios ni oraciones complejas.

No importa si vas a filmar un video para tu canal de Youtube, grabar un Reel de Instagram, o un video corporativo para tu empresa. Si escribes solo lo que la cámara y el sonido recogerán, el objetivo de tu audiovisual se cumplirá.

Instead, write it like this:

*"He burst out laughing in the street. He grabbed the first stranger he met by the waist and kissed her on the mouth.

- It's mine, they gave me the job! - she replied, and walked away as if nothing happened before the stares of the people. " * *.

Don't write this:

He came home excited from work. In the kitchen his wife was washing the dishes, dressed in that housecoat that until that day had seemed ordinary to him. But he thought she looked very sensual, and he felt horny. So he decided that they would make love. " *

Instead, write it like this:

"He ran into the kitchen and threw his work briefcase on top of the dirty dishes. His wife jumped back with a start, but he stopped her and lathered her neck and breasts over her housecoat. They did it right there. "

Adjectives that indicate mood:

• cheerful.
• excited

I replaced them with concrete actions:

• he burst out laughing in the middle of the street.
• filled her neck and breasts with foam.

Guillermo del Toro also explains that subjective, abstract or ambiguous descriptions should not be used, but clear and verifiable actions.

A screenplay is not a literary work.

A screenplay is a document used to plan and execute a film, while a literary work is an artistic creation expressed through the written word.

A screenplay is not intended to be read, but to be seen and heard, so it is based on action, movement and dialogue, and not on imagination, narration or description.
