12900 Schritte und eine neue Landschaft
Hallo Freunde,
12900 steps and a new landscape
Hello friends,
I have been back here with my family for a month now and have also started my walks. A lot has changed here in the one year. Unfortunately not necessarily for the better.
Thanks to the African swine fever, practically the entire area here is and was fenced. Where once only wide landscape, fields and many small paths , open to all were, one runs today practically only along fences. And these are not temporary installations, this game fence made of double galvanized wire and posts of sweet chestnut lasts easily 20 and more years before it rots.
In addition, there is this typical German paternalism. Access only for authorized persons. Who is authorized, who is not? This reliably keeps kids from exploring their surroundings.
And in a few years, there are no more paths because they are simply overgrown.
I see it so negatively because I have experience with the bird flu in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. There, free-range husbandry was banned in 2010 during the first appearance of bird flu and this ban still stands today.
Will it be the same with swine flu? I think so.
Have a great day, all of you.

The cover photo of your post caught my attention and I couldn't resist reading it. It turns out that I somehow missed the onset or rather the development of this swine flu epidemic when it happened 12 years ago (I didn't even know it was that long ago!). But I also keep seeing signs banning this and that because of it in my country. I don't think they'll ever take those signs down. They will never lift the bans. It seems unbelievable, but it is true. Which makes me wonder what will happen to the world even after covid is gone.
Things will continue as they are. Freedoms are cut piece by piece for the ordinary person, in every respect.
Back to the ant state or even forward to a way of life like in Aon Flux.
P.S. 12 years ago it was not the swine fever, but the bird flu
