18600 Schritte +++ Fiona ist Vergangenheit

Hallo Freunde,

Am Strand deutet fast nichts mehr auf das Unwetter zwei Nächte vorher hin. Alles ist geputzt, der Sand ist gefegt. Nur ein paar Abfallhaufen warten noch auf den Abtransport.

Es ist auch wieder genauso laut wie vorher, selbst die noch starken Wellen hört man nicht dank der karibischen Musik aus dutzenden Boomboxen.

Schwimmen oder Schnorcheln lohnt sich allerdings noch nicht. Dazu ist zum einen die Sicht durch die großen Wellen noch gleich null und Schwimmen selbst bei diesen Wellen macht nicht wirklich Spaß.

Allerdings fehlt im östlichen Teil wirklich der Strand. Wie das die Barbesitzer regeln, die ja ihre Tische und Liegen vorher auf den Sand aufgestellt hatten, jetzt regeln, darauf bin ich gespannt.

Hello friends,

On the beach almost nothing indicates the storm two nights before. Everything is cleaned, the sand is swept. Only a few piles of garbage are still waiting to be taken away.

It is also as loud as before, even the still strong waves can't be heard thanks to the Caribbean music from dozens of boomboxes.

Swimming or snorkeling, however, is not yet worth it. For one thing, the visibility is still zero due to the big waves, and swimming even in these waves is not really fun.

However, the beach is really missing in the eastern part. I'm curious to see how the bar owners, who had previously set up their tables and sunbeds on the sand, will manage this now.
