Well, having reflected on the meaning of this week's theme (“woman life freedom”) for the Hive open mic event, I decided on doing a cover of the song titled, 'Girl on fire' by Alicia Keys, an American singer.
This song is an empowering tune that highlights on girl power, freedom and new perspectives. We're well aware of the fact that the girl child has been exposed to series of oppression and subjugation over the years. Alot of women have been misjudged and underrated. There's the belief that we're no better than just a conceptive being and a homemaker. But that's not true, women are special and equally capable of bringing much more significant impacts on the world at large. I hope people get to understand that women life matters and so does our freedom.
You know, being a woman comes with its pain and struggles especially whilst living in a catastrophic and stereotypical world. However, the girl in this song is resilient and relentless. She's discovered her power and is breaking free from her limitations. She's all about fresh starts, discovering inner strengths and living in control of her life. To be “on fire” is to be inextinguishable of your passion for greatness. It's about outshining your old version, staying dazzling and stunning the world. So, one can absolutely be a girl and still be on fire! 🙂
Personally, I love this song and it pumps me up everytime I listen to it. I thought about singing my own rendition since the song perfectly matched the theme. And like I always say, I'm not perfect but I sincerely hope you enjoy my tune 😊.

Bueno, después de haber reflexionado sobre el significado del tema de esta semana ("mujer, vida, libertad") para el evento de micrófono abierto de Hive, decidí hacer una versión de la canción titulada 'Girl on fire' de Alicia Keys, una cantante estadounidense.
Esta canción es una melodía empoderadora que destaca el poder femenino, la libertad y las nuevas perspectivas. Somos muy conscientes del hecho de que la niña ha estado expuesta a una serie de opresiones y subyugaciones a lo largo de los años. Muchas mujeres han sido mal juzgadas y subestimadas. Existe la creencia de que no somos más que un ser conceptual y un ama de casa. Pero eso no es cierto, las mujeres son especiales e igualmente capaces de generar impactos mucho más significativos en el mundo en general. Espero que la gente entienda que la vida de las mujeres importa y también nuestra libertad.
Ya sabes, ser mujer conlleva dolor y luchas, especialmente mientras se vive en un mundo catastrófico y estereotipado. Sin embargo, la chica de esta canción es resistente e implacable. Ha descubierto su poder y se está liberando de sus limitaciones. Se trata de nuevos comienzos, descubrir fortalezas internas y vivir en control de su vida. Estar “ardiendo” es ser inextinguible de tu pasión por la grandeza. Se trata de eclipsar a su versión anterior, mantenerse deslumbrante e impactar al mundo. Entonces, ¡uno puede ser absolutamente una niña y aún así estar en llamas! 🙂
Personalmente, me encanta esta canción y me anima cada vez que la escucho. Pensé en cantar mi propia interpretación ya que la canción encajaba perfectamente con el tema. Y como siempre digo, no soy perfecto pero espero sinceramente que disfruten mi canción 😊.
