My Fitness Routine.

I used to be negligent when it comes to staying fit, I found it totally unnecessary since I was already skinny. "What weight was there to lose?" I would often say. πŸ˜… You can't blame me, I was still pretty much young then and had a small mind of what fitness meant.

As I grew older, I realized that staying fit is simply the activity of keeping the body physically healthy and in good shape. Regardless of your weight, height or body type, it's important to keep fit by exercising regularly and taking care of your overall health. Science has even proven that staying physically fit can help one live a longer, healthier and happier life. More importantly, regular exercise lowers the risks of chronic health conditions.

Now, having known these, I began to take my fitness more seriously and established my very own routine. So, here's the little I do to stay fit:

  • HOME WORKOUT.

Although I've never been to the gym for fitness training, I can say that I much prefer working out from my home. I find it more comfortable, stress-free and cheaper. Since I don't necessarily follow an intense workout plan that requires equipments, a home workout is fine by me (at least for now).

I like to take 45 minutes of my time every 2 days to do simple exercises using my mobile workout app (fitify) as a guide. These exercises often include squats, stretches, lunges, push ups, press ups, planks, arm spins, leg raises, jumping jacks, abdominal crunches etc. I also do jump ropes sometimes. And they've really helped to burn down calories, increase strength, tone my muscles, and improve my cardiovascular health.

  • WALKING.

I barely leave the house but when I do, I like to go on long walks especially in the evening when the sun sets. Going for these walks are good for stretching my leg muscles, aiding proper blood flow and burning fat. Normally, I do a minimum of 30 minutes and a maximum of 1 hour around my estate. When I'm at school, I walk most of the time and try to cut down on taking buses if it's not an emergency.

  • BALANCED DIET.

You know, keeping fit isn't just about hitting the gym and working out, it also involves our eating and drinking habit. Before now, I used to eat way too much junk than real food and I started gaining unhealthy weight in all the wrong places. Then, I disciplined myself to minimize my cravings and eat healthier foods containing a balanced diet. Now, I eat a lot more of proteins, fruits, vegetables, and drink plenty of water.

To be honest, as little as it is, my fitness routine is not that easy. It takes discipline and determination. Sometimes, I skip and forget to strictly follow my routine due to temptation, laziness, procrastination or tiredness. But at the same time, I often try to motivate myself each day to keep up because the end results are worth the energy.

I know right, it was mostly people with extra weight that exercised often. I guess everyone can relate to that belief, hehe.

πŸ˜‚ Neto is such a smart kid, you should listen to him oo

Indeed it is.

Thank you for your kind words ma πŸ˜πŸ’•.

The beauty of this whole thing is that it doesn't have to be done everyday. As long as it is regular, then it would be just as effective. Although only slower.

Thank you for sharing this with us.

Yes, no matter how much, as long as we do it constantly, it'll be just as effective.

It's my pleasure, thanks for stopping by! 😊
