HIVE ~ MY SUPERHERO! ❤️

Having read @starstrings01 post about this ongoing challenge, I've finally decided to share my own story about it.

The question on ground is; "What if Hive never existed?“

You see, this takes me back to my starting point in this platform. Before I was introduced here, I was a “stay-at-home” student thanks to the recurring academic strike in my country Nigeria. It was depressing for me because I had only just started my first year and the strike was smothering every iota of enthusiasm for school.

All my friends were taking advantage of the strike to do reasonable things for themselves and making money. And there I was, doing just chores, watching movies and reading my books. To be honest, I wasn't doing anything productive at that time. Why didn't I get a job? Well, for some reasons, my Dad wouldn't let me no matter how hard I tried to convince him.

That was when I decided to go online, maybe learn a skill on YouTube or do online jobs but it wasn't really forthcoming. I just knew how to write and although I was doing personal practice, I didn't put it into public eye.

But coming to hive made that possible and God bless the day @nkemakonam89 introduced me to this great platform. Even though I've only been here for 3 months, I can say that I've impacted so much from hive.

My writing skills has even gotten better than before and this is just the beginning. I got to meet many like-minded people here and learning new things. My goal for being here was to explore, learn, inspire and be inspired. And so far, I've been achieving that and I'm looking to achieve much more.

Now, in reference to my post title, why is hive my superhero?

First, because hive has saved me from idleness, if there was no hive, I probably would have still been unproductive with myself. I would have been missing out on the opportunities hive has in store.

If there was no hive, I wouldn't have discovered this new passion of mine (crocheting). And that is all thanks to the #needleworkmonday community. In the quest to find a platform to utilize my writing skill, I found another skill I could also monetize. Isn't that great? 😃

If there was no hive, I probably wouldn't have my own money by now. I would've still been helpless and unable to assist my struggling parents. So far I've withdrew my HBD 3 times and they've been used to solve pressing needs. Looking at it, I never really used the money for myself but for the wellbeing of my family.

The most crucial was the need to buy drugs for my Mom. She came down with serious fever and Malaria few weeks ago, plus she was having stomach contractions due to the ulcer she's been battling with for years.

And at that time, my parents were financially broke… it was really tough for us then. But I knew I had to immediately do something because I can't bare to see my mom's health in that state. And without hesitation, I proceeded to withdraw my HBD and purchase the required drugs for her and she got better. Now, that was “Hive to the rescue!“

So, imagining if hive never existed is like imagining not having to live. Like @starstrings01 said, hive is to live. I love being enthusiastic about many things and hive is one of those very things. I really hope to grow in this platform for a long time, overcoming the challenges and becoming a better version of myself 😊.
