Back and Better with a Little Update.

Hello Hivers! Welcome to my blog! 🤗 Oh boy, it feels like it's been a century already and I must say, I've really missed you all on the blockchain 🥺... Honestly, I've been so worked up with my offline life that it's been a struggle keeping track on hive.

On one end, there's my phone and electricity issues, on the other end, there's school stress and on the last end, there's writer's block and mental exhaustion 😓… However, I'm back here to dish you guys a little update on the recent happenings of my life and by God's grace, I'm back and better! ☺️

First, I'll start by saying that it struck me when my Dad called last month to inform me that I'd have to travel down from Benin city to Delta state all by myself in barely 3 days time. Why? Well, because I needed to start my new admission into a different university.

More strucking, the location was an entirely different state that I'd never been to before. So basically, I was going to start a whole new life. It's not that I wasn't aware of the plans for a transfer, I'd say I was rather caught unprepared and for some reason, thoughts about the unseen weighed down on me.

Moving schools right towards the end of my first year was quite overwhelming but I'd be dishonest if I said I never wanted it. In as much as I had my second thoughts, deep down I wished for it because I've always envisaged starting over and stuff like that. Changing my old school and course of study was pretty much what I wished for and out of the blue, it came true.

You see, I was initially studying English language and literature at Uniben (a public university in Benin-city, Nigeria) but now, I'm studying Law at Novena University (a private university in Delta state, Nigeria).

The reason for this transfer was because Law has always been my dream course so I'm finally following my dream in the path that life has led me to. At least, I'll now be free from the victimizations of the ASUU strike.

In as much as I wanted to see English language and literature to the very end with my former course mates, I'm still happy with this change of “fate” and I guess that's what really matters 🙂.

So far, my experience in my new school and course of study has been great excluding the stress, snakes 😬, extravagance and having to eat out for the next 5 years of my life (p.s the food here is nothing to write home about 😑).

Anyway, unlike my first impression, it's actually not so bad being here… I made new good friends, I gained a new insight on adaptation and tolerance, I learned to let go of my insecurities and embrace acceptance and confidence. Finally, I'm learning to become an outspoken and smarter version of myself because that is what my course demands.

Currently, we're on vacation for the Christmas holiday, so I'm definitely seizing this opportunity to relax myself, eat good food and do what I know how to do best, blogging! 😁 It sure feels good to be back here on hive… do watch out for more of my contents. In the meantime, let's chat 😃... How have you been? Have you perhaps ever had similar experiences as mine? If yes, how did you cope? 🥺 Feel free to slide into the comments 😊.

All photos are mine and this is my first post in this community.

THANKS FOR READING! ❤️
