Wednesday Walk: Emblematic Places of Belgrano, Buenos Aires (28 Pics) [ENG/ESP]
Yesterday afternoon I went to pick up my son from school for a walk around the Belgrano neighborhood, so we took the subway and got off at the Juramento station. We had planned to do some shopping in terms of ingredients since today is his 9th birthday and he wants by his own choice to prepare a dinner to share with the whole family.
He is a sushi lover and had the idea to buy the ingredients to make them at home where he will obviously participate and be the protagonist of his own dinner 🥰 So we visited Chinatown. It's kind of funny that we went to buy Sushi ingredients in a Chinatown but yes.
Ayer en la tarde fui a retirar a mi hijo al colegio para dar un paseo por el barrio de Belgrano, así que tomamos el subterráneo y bajamos en la estación Juramento. Habíamos planificado hacer algunas compras en cuanto a ingredientes se refiere ya que hoy es su cumpleaños número 9 y quiere por su propia decisión preparar una cena para compartir con toda la familia.
Él es un amante del sushi y tuvo la idea de comprar los ingredientes para hacerlos en casa en dónde el obviamente participará y será el protagonista de su propia cena 🥰 Así que visitamos el barrio Chino. Es algo curioso que fuimos a comprar ingredientes para Sushi en un barrio chino pero sí.
I decided to take some pictures and share this little tour while we were walking to the supermarket since we were in Belgrano and right along Juramento Avenue there are many emblematic attractions of the city.
Yo mi parte decidí tomar algunas fotos y compartir este pequeño recorrido mientras caminabamos al supermercado ya que estábamos en Belgrano y justo por la avenida juramento hay muchísimos atractivos emblemáticos de la ciudad.
Here we have a famous church that is known as "La Redonda de Belgrano", I do not want to focus on technical aspects in terms of architecture but I will mention that its history is approximately in the mid 1800's, its name is church of the Immaculate Conception. It is known by the above name because of its shape.
Acá tenemos una famosa iglesia que se conoce como "La Redonda de Belgrano", no quisiera enfocarme en aspectos técnicos en cuanto a arquitectura pero voy a mencionar que su historia es de aproximadamente a mediados de los años 1800, su nombre es iglesia de la inmaculada concepción. Se le conoce por el nombre anterior por su forma.
It is a very interesting area and it has a certain European look, that's what I say personally, right next to a Starbucks and these two make a very nice contrast and combination.
Es una zona bastante interesante y tiene cierto aspecto europeo, eso lo digo yo en lo personal, justo al lado de encuentra un Starbucks y estos dos hacen un contraste y una combinación muy bonita.
Here is a museum that I had forgotten about and have not visited yet "Larreta museum" I immediately remembered you @erikah 😍 I think you are synonymous with museum 😅 (it's a joke) but yes, I saw it and in my mind I said "Erika" .... I have to come and see this place and these works of art ❤️
Acá se encuentra un museo del cual me había olvidado y que aún no he visitado "museo Larreta" inmediatamente me acordé de ti @erikah 😍 creo que eres sinónimo de museo 😅 (es un chiste) pero sí, lo ví y en mi mente dije "Erika"... Tengo que venir a conocer este lugar y estás obras de arte ❤️

And here I share with you a couple of photos of the historical museum Sarmiento, in this museum you will find many accessories, furniture, uniforms and other things from the time of this illustrious Argentinean character. I think I once shared a post when I visited it, you might consider making another visit and update it.
Y acá les comparto un par de fotos del museo histórico Sarmiento, en esta museo se encuentra muchos accesorios, mobiliarios, uniformes y otras cosas de la época de este ilustre personaje argentino. Creo que una vez compartí un post cuando lo visité, podría considerar hacer otra visita y actualizar.
These photos are of the side and the exit of the building, I really like the back view of the second photo and the composition.
Éstas fotos son del lateral y la salida del edificio, me gusta mucho el contrapicado de la segunda foto y la composición.
Just before reaching Chinatown is the Barrancas de Belgrano square and it is a wonderful place, first for the location and the large area it offers. Then we have all the architecture that surrounds it and that is combined with the abundant nature, the design of the square and the urbanism.
Justo antes de llegar al barrio chino está la plaza Barrancas de Belgrano y es un lugar maravilloso, primero por la ubicación y por la extensa área que ofrece. Después tenemos toda la arquitectura que la rodea y que se combina con la abundante naturaleza, el diseño de la plaza y el urbanismo.
At first this was an area where I wanted to live, it is too touristy, ideal for kids and also very quiet. I don't think so anymore because of how far it is from my current job.
Es un principio ésta era una zona en donde quería vivir, es demasiado turística, ideal para los chicos y también muy tranquila. Ya no opino lo mismo debido a lo lejos que se encuentra de mi actual trabajo.

Every time my son sees this statue from afar he tells me it's a woman peeing 😂 it just has a vase leaking water in the fountain hahahahaha.
Cada vez que mi hijo ve ésta estatua de lejos me dice que es una mujer orinando 😂 solo tiene un jarrón que pierde agua en la fuente jajajaja
This building has always captivated me and I have several photos with different compositions, the reflections, the perspectives and its appearance seems interesting to me because of its location.
Este edificio siempre me ha cautivado y tengo varias fotos con diferentes composiciones, los reflejos, las perspectivas y su apariencia me parece interesante por su ubicación.
This photo seems to me to be very good not so much for the photographic aspect but for the urban aspect. Look at those classic, old balconies and windows and on the street the modern cars and buses, it is a significant contrast between the past and the modern. It is a gift that these structures are still standing and preserved 😍
Ésta foto a mi me parece que está muy buena no tanto por el aspecto fotográfico sino por el aspecto urbano. Miren esos balcones y ventanas clásicas, antiguas y en la calle los autos y buses modernos, es un contraste significativo entre el pasado y lo moderno. Es un regalo que estás estructuras aún sigan de pie y se conserven 😍
One of my favorites from this post are these two photos with two different points of focus, taken at the flower's root and incorporating the landscapes, bushes and that cool residential building.

We arrive at Chinatown

For a Tuesday (yesterday) at 6pm there were not many people, it was very quiet and it was already more cloudy. This photo is from the inside out.
Para ser un día martes (ayer) a las 6pm no habían muchas personas, estaba muy tranquilo y ya estaba más nublado. Esta foto es desde adentro hacia afuera.
I took some pictures of the streets and the dragon statues after passing the entrance. As we were walking around, it generated in us a huge desire to eat and try some characteristic dishes of this place, I think it is an automatic sensation to visit Chinatown 😂
Tomé algunas fotos de las calles y de las estatuas de dragones que hay después de pasar la entrada. A medida que íbamos caminando generaba en nosotros unas ganas enormes de comer y probar algunos platos característicos de este lugar, creo que es una sensación automática a visitar el barrio chino 😂
These are some of the supermarkets that are in the place, they offer a lot of products that normally are not sold in the common markets of the city, the prices are not cheap but they are first quality products. However we visited another supermarket which is bigger but just as expensive 😅
Estos son unos de los supermercados que hay en el lugar, ofrecen una gran cantidad de productos que normalmente no venden en los mercado comunes de la ciudad, los precios no son baratos pero son productos de primera calidad. Sin embargo nosotros visitamos otro supermercado más grande pero igual de caro 😅
Another thing you can get here is street art, I think there are several murals with works similar to this one but I didn't really look for them, this one was just where I was walking, so I'll share it with you and make reference to the author.
Otra de las cosas que se consiguen acá es el arte callejero, creo que hay varios murales con trabajos parecidos a este pero la verdad no me dedique a buscarlos, este solo estaba por dónde yo estaba caminando, así que se los comparto y hago referencia al autor.
Here we visited a restaurant that was not planned but we were very impressed by what they were selling. So we ordered and took several photos that I would like to share with you in the coming days, as well as the supermarket we visited and the products in it.... A post that seems to fit very well in the #MarketFriday theme 😊
