Inktober 2021 - Pick
Although simple this is one of my favorite little drawings from the month at the time when it was drawn.
To me, this perfectly encapsulates a kind of fantastical, but utilitarian 'get the job done' kind of implement.
I see it as a trusty branch, probably bound in some kind of coked iron, ideally over some dwarven anvil, not too sure how resilient the blade would be, but it certainly looks master crafted. The handle is bound in simple leather strapping for comfort with extended use.
I see this tool as having several uses, it could certainly be a weapon cutting its teeth as a Warpick, but also a machete style for hacking through jungles, it could be used for climbing icy slopes, much like an 'ice pick', or simply unearthing and earth turning in the traditional sense and usage of a pickaxe.
