A role model for me is someone who's life or story inspires me, encourages me to be the best version of myself.

A few years ago, due to my desire to be a writer, I followed lots of story writing pages on Facebook. That's where I came across a story titled Farida. It's a fictional story that felt so real and I fell in love with the character and she became my inspiration.

I have picked a liking for Nancy Isime too. She is my role model and my favourite actress too. I have her picture as my lockscreen's wallpaper and I change it from time to time to different photos of her. I also have the name FARIDA written on my lockscreen. Farida is a Muslim name that means I have no duplicate or I am only one. I do this not because I am idolizing these people but because having the picture and the name there gives me a daily reminder of where I want to be and who I want to be like.

Bringing my post back to reality, I love Nancy because I have taken time to study her lifestyle and I am totally impressed by the way she carries herself. I have never seen her react to being dragged on social media. There are certain kinds of gossip I have never heard her name being associated with like issues with men, relationships, etc. She was dragged recently because an upcoming celebrity mentioned her as one of the Nigerian actresses that went through liposuction to have a curvy figure. People went to her page and hurled insults at her but she didn't respond. That's maturity for me. She has proven to not be easily triggered.

She's extremely hardworking. It is very obvious. She's always closing deals, signing papers… She has won the position of a brand ambassador of so many companies including aella app, detergent, she has her own show called The Nancy Isime Show, she's a well known host.

She has a very good fashion sense. I will never wear a lot of the things she wears because sometimes some of them are a bit more revealing but she dresses very well most times.

I love how her success speaks for her. Most celebrities basically go around making hate captions and all of that but I have never seen her do that. Actress Nancy is beautiful, her movies are always a hit and there's most times a good lesson to go home with.

She inspires me to focus, work hard, believe in myself, stay confident and these are just the things I want to be associated with. Her story is also quite inspiring. She lost her mum at a tender age. In an interview, she spoke about how she started as a runway model till she got lucky and was given a scene to act in a movie and she did well. That's how her movie career started. Listening to her story, I figured she is resilient and that's just how I want to be.

Nancy is a traveller! She loves to have fun, take pictures and all. Those are the things I love to do too. I really want to visit as many countries as possible. That's the few aspects of her life I admire so much.
