A day of sleeplessness and street photography

I had spent the night awake and had not been able to sleep at all, when I barely managed to get some sleep, the alarm on my mobile rang to let me know that I had to go to work like every morning. I thought about not going, but I had a lot of things to do that day. The sky was clear and the sun was just starting to rise. I got dressed quickly and for some reason decided to grab my camera and take some pictures on my way to work, since I was going earlier than usual.
As I walked down the street, I noticed the details that I normally overlooked: the signs, the trees, the animals, and I even passed by a thrift shop where they had a lot of cats and displayed some old cameras in very good condition. I decided to capture those moments and stopped every time I saw something that caught my eye. I enjoyed the feeling of being a curious and creative observer.
I arrived at work with a smile on my face and a memory card full of photos. I felt proud to have made the most of the day and to have done something different. I thought maybe I could repeat this experience more often and explore other parts of the city with my camera.

Había pasado la noche en vela y no había podido dormir en lo absoluto, cuando apenas lograba conciliar algo de sueño, sonó la alarma de mi celular para avisarme que debía ir a trabajar como todas las mañanas. Pensé en no ir, pero tenía muchas cosas pendientes ese día. El cielo estaba despejado y el sol apenas empezaba a salir. Me vestí rápidamente y por alguna razón decidí agarrar mi cámara y fotografiar algunas cosas de camino a mi trabajo, ya que iba más temprano de lo que acostumbraba
Mientras caminaba por la calle, me fijé en los detalles que normalmente pasaba por alto: los letreros, los arboles, los animales, e incluso pase por una tienda de segunda mano donde tenían muchos gatos y exhibían algunas cámaras viejas en muy buen estado. Decidí capturar esos momentos y me detuve cada vez que veía algo que me llamaba la atención. Disfruté de la sensación de ser un observador curioso y creativo.
Llegué a mi trabajo con una sonrisa en la cara y una tarjeta de memoria llena de fotos. Me sentí orgulloso de haber aprovechado el día y de haber hecho algo diferente. Pensé que quizás podría repetir esta experiencia más a menudo y explorar otras partes de la ciudad con mi cámara.
